Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great little spot this is. Dont go expecting a hearty meal but what you do get is charm. We were asked what kind of wines we liked and then offered tastings. The gentleman was charming and informative. Infact we drank the wines he...selected in other establishments throughout Puglia. With the wine came a generous plateful of cold meats and cheeses and suggestions as to what cheeses paired best with each wine. A unexpectedly delightful evening!More

We were looking forward to visiting this wine bar after reading the reviews. We arrived at 7.15 pm after seeing the advertised opening as 7.00pm the lady advised us they were not opening until 7.30pm. We then returned at 7.45 pm and was met again...by the sullen bar lady and we were rudely told that they were now not opening until 8.00pm There were other people turned away also so unfortunately we were not able to experience what was rated as the top wine bar in Alberobello. Unsure what the issue was but it would have been nice to have it explained rather than being quite ungraciously turned away.More

A fantastic little hideaway in the middle of beautiful Alberobello. Passionate and knowledgeable Francesco gave us a fantastic “tour” and tasting of local wines accompanied by local antipasti. This is the place to go if you want to learn more about the region and its...wines. Thank you Francesco for an amazing afternoon!More

Like many tourists we had come to this town to look at the unique houses and they didn’t disappoint. We had finished looking round at lunchtime (not a long time is needed for this) so we’re Looking for a light lunch before setting back off...to Polignano a mare where we were staying. A quick look at TA revealed that the number 1 was just what we had wanted and it’s right next to the houses off the main square. It’s down some steps and you then enter a cave like restaurants/wine shop - lovely AC to cool you down from the heat above! The owner is very good at explains what’s on offer and making recommendations for wine and beet to go with the food. They do 3 different cold platters - we went for the mixed meat and cheese (ordered more cheese later!) which was served with bread and honey etc. great choice of wine and beer and plenty to buy to take out too (this is more of a wine shop than a restaurant). Both food and drinks were great. If you want a light lunch away (but close to) the bustle of the houses then this is an excellent choiceMore

We visited several times when staying nearby and kept going back because we loved it. Francesco was warm and friendly (and expert). He walked us through some of the wines of Puglia and he oversees a brilliant atmosphere here. The platters of cheese and cured...meats are fantastic, the music is great and the general vibe is one you wish all places had. Thank you Francesco for your hospitality. We hope to return again when next in Puglia.More

We were greeted by Francesco who guided us through the numerous drinking and food options. The food was exquisite as were the beers & the wine. If you want a unique experience in Alberobello, THIS is the place! And to top the experience, we bought...few bottles to bring home at a very decent price. Again recommendations from Francesco! one of our best nights in our vacation, thanks to the hospitality of Francisco! what a sweet guy! he helped with my gluten and dairy free choices of food (it’s not big meals here, you can order some appetizers to go with your wine), and...he guided us with the wine selection. There was a negroamaro wine (Talo), which I still regret not buying the bottle to take home. The hot fava, the artichokes (how do you cook them like this?!!) are to die for, the cold cuts also delicious. Thank you, Paco!More
