I am very choosy, and yes I chose particular Sicilian food and red wine from Etna. The portions were proportional to my wish to taste different food. All personnel was efficient and gave me the right advice to enjoy more as possible the Mediterranean food.

We found this restaurant after having tried a number of others that were fully booked. It had a nice atmosphere and was packed with locals, including some local carabinieri eating risotto. However, the food was somewhat disappointing - passable but not especially great, especially for Sicily. In addition, our waiter seemed quite annoyed with us, throwing us the menus and... More

After a lot of walking around in this part of the city, there seemed to be few places serving lunch, but this was one. One waiter was serving a fair number of tables scattered throughout the large dining room, but it was easy to see that he had his cheerful eye on everything. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced... More

The worst food I had in Sicily ever. Horrible food, the ingredients were not fresh at all. I didn't finish my plate, we were so disappointed and no one seemed to care about us.

Me and my girlfriend went here and got out really disappointed. First of all the starters were a real joke. My girlfriend had a supposed ham that was instead industrial pork and as "typical Sicilian cheese" some slices of Galbanino, a cheese usually sold in supermarket to cook when real cheese would be a waste (not that not even the... The setting was not encouraging -- no customers until 9:00pm; a Denny's style plastic menu with photos; miscellaneous themes on the walls (soccer shirts, Jack Daniels whiskey collection, ceramic plates, ...). On the other hand, the mixed seafood dinner was quite good -- fresh and perfectly cooked. This restaurant is best for everyday, unembellished seafood fare.

Pleasant if slightly dated environment with walls full of ceramics, film portraits et cetera. It is a restaurant that advertises itself as specialising in fish and so we went for an 'all fish' meal, having 'misto pesce' antipasti and then spaghetti with clams and a plate of five oven baked fish. All the food was fine, especially the latter dish... More

We found this place by complete accident. It was Italy's republic day so places were full and we were late. They found our group a table and proceeded to look after us well despite our language issues. Food kept on coming for the menu de casa. Only issue was not everyone of our group enjoyed seafood and there was no... More

Found this restaurant out of a coincidence. It was very full when me and my partner arrived around 9pm. We decided to try the tasting menu for two people, and it was fantastic! The only negative thin to say is that it was too much food, but that's really not a complaint. If you want to try a local restaurant... More

With the exception of the fine antipasti (credit where credit's due), such a let-down! the highlight of a most disappointing dining experience was nero di seppie from the time of Nero the Emperor, pasta con le sarde immensely forgettable and risotto alla pescatora which was sent back to the kitchen pretty much untouched. the mussels were better but you'd expect...
