Really enjoyable food, lovely staff, gorgeous place, excellent wine. One of those 'that was gorgeous' moments.

Absolutely awful food. The burger and chips are full of salt it is all you can taste!! Also the chef is always floating around the restaurant in his chef outfit which is cross contamination unless he is changing his chef outfit all the time but...I can gaurntee he is not. Will not be recommending. Casa de qunita restaurant in algarve if anyone if looking for recommendations.More
We visited with the three of us but did not make a reservation. Although it was really busy the owner did his utmost to seat us. The place is really nice, nice terrace with flowers and lights. As it was Friday there was also live...music which we enjoyed a lot. The food was very nice, authentic French kitchen. The service was really good and friendly. We enjoyed it all! Thanks for this lovely evening.More
I have nothing good to say about this place. The chef owner was incredibly rude to us. The food and drinks are really bad and when he asked how was everything we told him, he then got very angry and started to scream at myself...and my family table side. The restaurant was empty as I know why. Terrible food and even worse service. Two weeks here in the algarve and hands down the worst place we have been to. 100 percent save your money and dine elsewhere. His disgusting attitude and behavior isn’t worth you spending your money here.More
Every now and then I get a grumpy client. This year it is you. And every time it is for the same reason, I have not offer you drinks. Well mister Hayes, it is not because a member of your familly is drinking two third...More
Enjoyed one of the finest meals I’ve ever had. Superb surroundings, calm ambience in the lovely terrace with bright pops of plants and flowers. Service was excellent, with friendly staff, always nearby but never in a hurry, meaning it was a relaxed and calm evening....The food however was the absolute star. A well considered classic French menu, Brit each dish beautifully and skilfully executed and presented. Such care over the ingredients and flavours, meant every mouthful was a delight. We enjoyed the evening singer, intimate but not intimidating, tuneful and complemented the ambiance of the venue. We had such a beautiful time, we returned the following night with our friends and family before leaving the Algarve. Highly recommended if you are a foodie, Francophile or looking for a relaxed environment to enjoy quality and delicious food and wine. Thank you to the proprietors and staff for making us so welcome.More
Thank you very much for your lovely message.
Would have given more stars as the food was great if it wasn’t for the fact we were all sat indoors as they haven’t yet bothered to get the seating ready outside. Such a shame as it was so humid and stuffy it was hard...to enjoy the food when you are sitting sweating. Everywhere else is dining outside and it’s what we looked forward to so really disappointed. Can’t fault the food and good price tho!More
The food here is unreal, not an extensive menu, but a beautiful menu. Flavours are incredible and the atmosphere is relaxing and chilled. Should be a Michelin restaurant. Definitely give it a try. Staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was an issue.
What an absolute joy of a restaurant! We dined here 3 times during our stay in Quarteira. Every time different dishes, every time totally superb, deliciosly seasoned. We have dined in many Michelin starred restaurants round the world. This was superb, I could not fault...it at all. It was very relaxed ambience, almost worth coming to Quarteira for! We will be back.More
Have driven past this restaurant for absolutely years and wondered what it was like. When I showed my wife that is the restaurant I had booked she said she hadn’t noticed it before even though had driven past for absolutely years also 🤣 very discreet....Food was excellent. French rather than Portuguese- but I couldn’t fault any of the food and the young waiter was also very polite and friendly, even though I would say very new! Only think that I marked it down on is not having large beer and also there was a musician who was good and nice ‘lift’ music but was probably a little bit loud and we had to repeat ourselves when chatting over the music! Food was superb, lovely setting and will definitely be backMore
I have visited this restaurant twice and both times have been spectacular. I accidentally booked the day previous to what I intended, despite this our experience was incredible. Herve is an exceptional chef and his staff are so lovely. The attention to detail is amazing...and the food is exquisite, I recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Quateria and nearby areas. The next time I’m in Portugal I most certainly will return to my favourite restaurant. Thank you once again for making our family dining experience one we will never forgetMore
Wonderful evening, fabulous music and amazing food, loved by all 3 generations who were fortunate to dine here. The personal touch from Herve and team was second to none. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Algarve
I had my birthday evening at Diplomatico. The food was simply sublime. The service, immaculate and the ambience was perfect. I was familiar with the menu prior to going for dinner and I honestly had sleepless night wondering about what I was going to have....Spoilt for choice with a selection of fine cuisine. To start we had sauteed prawns as well as the traditional french starters available (snails and frogs legs) to share. The latter may not sound appealing, but the meat is so tender and the flavours applied make this starter a MUST when you go to the restaurant. For main course, everyone had something different. Chateaubriand, cooked to perfection. Duck Confit, Seafood pasty, rack of Lamb, Steak Tartare, RibEye. Valerie was very attentive when helping select appropriate wines for the main course. Being British we tend to play things safe with a Pinky Grigio - why?? Do not hesitate to ask Valerie for her recommendation with wine. And do not play it safe with House wines! For a little bit extra ££ you can get a very good value wine. The night ended with a birthday cake and a sing a long with all the staff and people in the restaurant. Carlos was excellent playing music all night and catering for my girlfriends Brazilian family with some music from Brazil! Big thank you to everyone at Diplomatico for such a special night and a fantastic dinner service.More
Thank you so much for your message. It was a real pleasure to have you and your friends. We really hope to see you again if you come back to Portugal!
Family of 3. The service is very good, the restaurant it's self is very nice and the food was excellent. All three dish were sooooo tasty. Oh and the starter saute prawns were excellent, as were the desserts. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write this message. Hope to see you some other time!
Excellent french restaurant ran by Valerie and Herve. Great food and ambience. We ate there four times during our two week stay. When you get your table it is yours for the night. Live music Tuesday and friday. Attention to detail with food and drink...is superb. Lovely helpful staff. At end if the night Herve who is co owner and chef comes around to every table to see if guests enjoyed the food and on the music nights he joins in the dancing. Valerie runs front of house very efficiently, always with a welcoming smile. Menu has traditional French dishes such as frogs legs, snails, beef stroganoff, confit of duck, steak, fish etc. Choc fondant pudding is divine! Need I say anymore!More
