Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with food and service being superb. It was very busy for a Sunday night in October but we were welcomed warmly. They service was very efficient by the team and it looks like a family restaurant from...viewing. There is a mixture of younger and older people working and the mix works well. We had oysters to start which were very good and fresh, the mixed seafood rice for main which was loaded with lobster, prawns, shellfish and tasted wonderful and had the local almond tart to finish. The wine was good and reasonably priced. If we visit again we will return for sureMore

If you love fish, this is the place to go! Great fish. The monkfish cataplana is the best I have ever had, but ask for it without the liver!

We were recommended O Jacinto when we arrived on holiday and the person said it was the best place for seafood and either book or be prepared to wait for a table. We went on the off chance and were lucky to be seated immediately....The team were very helpful and explained a couple of dishes on the menu. We chose the Monkfish Cataplana and we were not disappointed with the choice. Portions sizes are very good and the seafood was fresh and tasty. We also order 1/2 dozen oysters which were fresh and delicious. The wine list was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful which added to the atmosphere. Thank you!More

Shame but service and food quality have gone down quite a lot. I used to come here every year since late 90’s until 2013 and was the best seafood restaurant then.

Very popular fish restaurant set back from the beach. We went to try the Monkfish cataplana which was delicious. Service was good and seafood soup starter was also very tasty. Lots of fresh fish on offer including crab, lobster and oysters among many more all...sold by weight so you can mix and match starters and mains if you like.More

Pleasant enough authentic surroundings, i.e. relatively basic but no harm in that, but you know what I mean!! Fish charged by weight. I am always a little sceptical of this, but went for the Sea Bass for two simply grilled plus fries. I would liked...to have been informed of the price before they started cooking. Decent enough, but at 60 Euros (Fries extra) it should be better than it was, on other restaurant menus Sea Bass for two 30 Euros. Obviously depends on your pocket, but your money could be better spent elsewhere.More

I’ve written reviews for O Jacinto before but no harm updating. Still truly excellent & friendly. Enjoyed the boiled shrimp, shrimp curry & the sea bream this time. Definitely worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment as this is always full of locals.

We have tried to eat at O Jacinto's on several trips to the Algarve but this year we were successful, and it was well worth the wait. The service and food were exceptional. We did not have to pre-book the cataplana. Lots of Portuguese families...eating there which is always a good sign. Thoroughly recommend.More

Wow. Where do I begin? O Jacinto, you are fabulous! If you fancy a break from the 'go to' Marina in Vilamoura, then this is definitely worth a visit but you must book because the food is unreal. We ordered a selection of fresh seafood,...golden bream and some delicious sides. The lobster is simply the BEST I have ever had and I would highly recommend that you visit purely for this reason. The giant shrimps, crab and bream were also divine. Not only was the food amazing but the staff were extremely friendly, polite and accommodating which made the experience all the more enjoyable, thank you guys! If you are staying in Vilamoura or Quarteira, please do not skip this gem; you certainly will not regret it!!More

This place is amazing!!! If you are looking for an ‘out of this world fish restaurant’ near Vilamoura, then this is it! It is all indoors and the setting is a little oldie worldy but take no notice of this. The food is unreal and...all 3 of us were completely blown away. Great wine too!!! I have included a picture of the wine, so hopefully you will take my advice!!More

Wonderful, superb, fantastic. Lovely staff and the famous Jactino himself. Excellent food and the best steak I have eaten in years! Oh and the wine was just as good. A must for anyone in VilaMoura area!
