My husband and I ate here thee times in one week the food is beautiful. The steak melts in the mouth. The staff are always welcoming and lovely. Would recommend this restaurant very highly. If you go to mijas pueblo you have to eat here.

We arrived at the Secret Garden by chance as we were late eating. We had a dog with us and they allowed us in as long as we sat close to the doorway. The staff were brilliant and very friendly and attentive. The food was simply amazing. We had a vegetarian and celiac with us and both were catered for... More

Heard about this place from another family member who had dinner here a year ago. We stopped for lunch. We chose to sit in the covered court yard where they had very good heat lamps to keep us warm and comfortable. Service and food was good. Two of us shared tapas and two shared a vegetarian paella.

Stopped in for tapas, paella and drinks. Stayed way longer than intended. Gracious hostess and amazing server, Julia. Reasonable prices and outstanding service. Food was amazing. Highly recommended. Ordered tapas combo#1 and chicken curry crepe. Unreal! Hostess showed us outdoor garden that is closed for season, but we could only imagine how popular it is when open. Quite serene and... More

Our evening meal for 4 provided interesting choices well cooked for a reasonable price. Service cheerful and efficient and finished with little glass of vodka caramel. Although tucked up a side street above the square.the interior ambience of a wall of plants is rather unique.

Have eaten here on many occasions however, our recent experience was not so good. Only 3 people eating and waitress seemed to be busy...not working. House wine was awful and basic food expensive. Very disappointed.

We have visited this restaurant a couple of years ago, how things change! I ordered a rib-eye steak along with a bottle of 2010 Vina Sol Spanish wine. My family had chicken dishes which were average, with my wife ordering a fish dish that was quoted in the menu as "unbelievably delicious", it was not. My steak was cooked on... More

If you want to try any grill dish advertised you need to go after 6pm. Unfortunately fo us we went on the afternoon however we still enjoyed a meal of oxtail. For 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine, we shared oxtail with french fries (very big portion) and potatoes bravatas (large portion) for 35 euros. The waiter was friendly... More

We stopped here for a late lunch and shared the 5 mixed tapas with a free drink and then bought a further drink and garlic bread. Total cost just under €20. All of it was tasty and enough for 2 to share. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We sat in the patio area which had a heater. (On previous... More

Description
Aroma Café & Secret Garden is a truly unique restaurant on the Costa del Sol. Firstly the restaurant is located in an old house dating to 1872 with many nooks and crannies to discover. Within its walls a whole world opens, starting with arguably Mijas´ most beautiful Andaluz Patio. Follow the Patio to its end and let a whitewashed passage guide you to our gem on the crown, the Secret Garden. Here you will find Mijas as it was a century ago, an enchanted forest of olive, orange, fig and loquat trees. Stroll to the end of this sprawling garden and you will discover an ancient ´water mine´ dating back to the Moorish times. In our garden you will enjoy Argentinean BBQ prepared right before your eyes into the early mornings on warm summer nights. Our celebrity Chef from the Canary Islands meanwhile prepares sumptuous dishes which will tempt you to come back time and again until all that is offered has been tasted! Now just come discover for yourself, our friendly team awaits you!!!
