Ok the Restaurant could probably do with a revamp but for great Indian food at amazing prices this Restaurant will take some beating. Some say the best Indian on the Costa del Sol, well that is a big statement but I have eaten hundreds of Indian meals in my life and I am delighted both with the quality of the food, friendly staff and the surprisingly low prices. The Madras dishes are divine.
I would recommend virtually everything on the menu as I dont think you will be disappointed. I would also recommend always making a reservation as this place is often fully booked.

Excellent service, very clean and relaxing atmosphere, waiters are very good, speaking various languages , outdoor or indoor dining, great choice of dishes, little sauses for popadoms are excellent, the different curries are always cooked to perfection, very very consistent. even in larger groups, service never fails and even with a full house, the quality of food is top. highly recommend. Carpark infront or nearby.

Whether on a date with my wife or entertaining friends, this is a favourite experience. I like the idea of outside seating. But occasionally in winter it can be cold or summer can be a bit warm. The inside quiet and nice. The flavours are genuine and authentic albeit tamed for the European palate. If you like it South Asian hot and spicy be sure to let them know. You won’t be disappointed.

Popped into this Indian restaurant as I had eaten there before. However on this occasion the onion bajis were like rubber balls, dry, tasteless and inedible. Perhaps gathered from the night before.
The curries bland, Luke warm and generally just not good. I don’t know what has happened to such a nice restaurant. I will be going back to Taste as I ate there last week with some friends and the food was exceptionally good.
I will not return to this restaurant for a while in the hope that they bring back previous good food and standards.

My wife and I visit Sohail and the staff every week and are never disappointed. My wife is vegetarian so we stick mainly to these dishes.....I sometimes have a chicken dish for a bit of variety. We usually have a selection and take home what we don't eat! Everything is excellent from the samosas to the vegetable handi, vegetable hariali, to the aloo mutter (not on the menu!) through to the cheese and onion kulcher (not on the menu!). We usually have a vegetable biriani as the rice dish. Keep up the good work and see you on Friday! Phil & Linz

We came to Mumtaz Mahal back in 2016 and was worried it wouldn't be the same as when we returned again this year. It was!! We visited twice in the week were in Coin. We had a few starters and were nice. Currie's could do with a bit more 'spiciness' to them though I'm sure if you asked they could add some heat as not everyone likes there mouths on fire. Might need to book as it can get busy. Will be going again for sure when we go back.

Had a very enjoyable lunch today. By means of expirement, one of us had the special lunch, the other chose from the main menu. Unless you are extremely hungry, the special lunch is quite adequate. Very busy restaurant, popular with locals and ex-pats. Good quality food, well served. Also noted lots of takeaways too. Perhaps the best Indian in the inland area.

We used top visit regularly as the food was superb. However on our last visit we were really disappointed. They must have changed their chef. My Korma was weak, tasteless and watery. My husbands curry was not much better. Our friends were not impressed with theirs either. The Peshwari naan were also dry and tasteless.
We will not be returning until they change their chef again.

Have eaten at this wonderful Restaurant on many occasions. The quality of the food never fails to impress. All the staff are friendly and welcoming will be returning when we are allowed to travel from La cala Hills. Would recommend this eatery as first class.

The Mumtaz has become our regular curry house in the area. Asif and Jaman tend to all our needs. Great service with food to match and better still a bill that pleases the pocket. We love this little gem!

Great food. Friendly staff.
Not super atmosferic in terms of decor, but most restaurants are over here. But the food was really good, cooked from fresh with genuinely friendly staff. Great find, will go back many times.

I asked for gluten free food and it was. Probably the best food I've and in Spain and the UK. It was so good we're back tomorrow.
