Every time we have been in Mallorca we have visited Valdemossa and have had dinner at Sa Mata . Fabulous food and service. Served by its owner and her sons. It is a must if you visit this beautiful town. We are from Australia.

Seafood paella was good. Service was really crappy; no follow up, long time to place orders, moody waitress, had to ask for getting the change back.

We were only in Valldemossa for a few hours and after an earlier unfortunate experience we eventually settled on this restaurant for lunch having checked the position recorded on Tripadvisor. We had a portion of mixed croquettes and a bowl of alioli as a starter followed by a dish of fried seafood for my wife and stuffed aubergine (eggplant) for... More

Dear Bruce, Thank you very much for your visit and your positive review. The whole team works very hard to provide the best service to our customers. We are very glad that you enjoyed one of our specialties: majorcan cuisine. If you have the chance to visit us again, we’d like to recommend our paellas. You’ll enjoy it for sure!... More

We turned up unexpectedly, two families of 4. The staff accommodated us inside and the restaurant was lovely. The lady that served us was fantastic, very friendly and spoke good English to help us. Food was absolutely lovely, reasonably priced and the paella was fantastic. Definitely a lovely restaurant to visit with friends and family

We decided to try out the less popular local dishes and I found the mallorcan squid in tomato sauce really tasty and it was really affordable as well ~8 EUR. However, the popular paella dishes are pretty pricey (up to 22 EUR a person) and it's not worth ordering the cheaper paella mixta (14 EUR pp) as it's missing more... More

The restaurant is on the edge of a little square in the centre. We turned up without a booking and they gladly rearranged the reserved tables to bring two together so they could accommodate our group of six. The waitress quickly attended our drinks order and took our order. I had the grilled chicken breast which came with grilled vegetables... More

I was looking forward to typical Mallorcan food and was disappointed with my stuffed aubergine, which tasted as if it had been reheated from frozen. The calamari rings similarly so. I may be wrong, but that was my impression. It was nice, though, to sit outside and watch the world go by. Very friendly staff.
