Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A gem amongst the lava & salt fields. I was recommended this restaurant by a customer service lady from our hotel, prior to our holiday. This was for my husbands birthday. A wonderful place, delicious food, away from the typical tourist places. Stunning views. Clearly...enjoyed by locals (always a plus). The staff were so welcoming - thank you. We ignored the reviews about starters being large, maybe share. We should have shared one! Only to ensure you have enough room for your main. I had the catch of the day - delicious. Just a wonderful birthday dinner and evening. You have to drive or get a taxi to this restaurant, but so worth it. Taxi from Playa Blanca 18 euros. Thank you to all the staff & other customers at Mirador de Las Salinas. We will visit again, when we return to Lanzarote.More

We've always wanted to try this restaurant and finally did. Very good food but the starters are huge so would recommend sharing. The fish of the day was delicious. Service very good. Lovely location overlooking the lava fields and the salt lakes. Can be quite...chilly on a spring evening so wear something warm. Will definitely return.More

Visited early evening and it was great to watch the sunset over the sea. Despite the cost of the starters, we ordered two which was way too much for us. Should have known better. The deep fried eel and squid were lovely but far too...much. Shared a paella, which was again a large portion. We ate most of it, but found the food around the edge of the pan to be a bit dry and overcooked anyway so we were able to retire with grace.More

Lovely food, waiters a bit over attentive but plesant. Why, why, why do you make customers scan a QR to read a menu. What's wrong with a printed menu? Bit pricy €13,50 for starters but very tasty

Sit with a view at the salinas and enoy the sunset. Food was good. Service was very good. We had 4 of the fish croquettes as starters which are nice.

As a family we enjoy eating good food and we had been disappointed with our choices in Playa Blanca so when we read the reviews for Mirador de las Salinas it sounded worth a try . From the minute you enter the building you are...given a warm welcome and the restaurant is very contemporary . The views across to the sea and the salt pans are stunning . The menu offers a good choice and we went for three courses. They also have lanzarote wine by the glass . We had our young grandson with us and their children’s menu had a good choice and was a generous portion . All the food we had was delicious and well presented and we enjoyed it so much we returned on the last day of our holiday to try different items on the menu . The service was prompt and friendly and this is a vey popular place with locals so I would recommend booking . If you have a car and are staying in Playa Blanca have a drive out and experience real food in a stunning location .More

Our 2nd visit for Sunday lunch, at this well appointed restaurant with terrific views over the salt pans. Breezy but warm, we were seated on the shaded terrace, able to watch the sun glinting on the ocean, the waves crashing in the distance. The menu...is via a QR code which 2 out of the 3 of us had difficulty accessing, so we asked for hard copies, which personally we found much easier. The staff work hard & are friendly, professional & attentive. We ordered our favourite Lanzarote white wine, a bottle of Bermejo Seco plus a bottle of sparkling water. Bread, which we asked for, was served with flavoured butter & both mojo roja & verde plus flavoured butter. Three starters were chosen. The first of Lanzarote tomatoes with smoked cheese & sardines, baby squid with aioli & smoked cheese with gofio. All were flavoursome, although I had expected my baby squid to be grilled, but they were served battered, & needed more seasoning. Despite overlooking the Salinas, salt is not provided on the table! Main courses were black pork cheek in red wine, fried calimari & lastly grouper - the fish of the day, served with salad and canarian potatoes. Again the food was fresh, hot & tasty, my grouper being cooked perfectly. Two of our group ordered icecream for dessert, myself, the cake with dulce de leche & lemon icecream. Unfortunately the 2 portions of ice cream arrived before my dessert, & were consumed before my dessert arrived. A shame, as obviously we like to eat our meals at the same time. Apologies were given at the time, by the waiter, however, & it was a minor annoyance. The terrace is a fabulous area to enjoy a lazy Sunday lunch on a beautiful sunny day & I'm sure we will return when we're next in Lanzarote.More

What a great restaurant- best food we had in holiday and they squeezed us in on an outside drinks table as they were fully booked - highly recommend their cerdo secreto and pork cheeks - vegetarian risotto was also delicious. Much needed after a long...mountain bike ride as this was only half way. Stunning views over the salt pans and fantastic service with wicked sense of humour - thank you !!More

Conger eel starter superb and fried goats cheese for the others; both superb. Atmosphere warm, welcoming and a choice of indoor or outdoor ( shaded ) seating. Main was local fish grilled 25 euros and MIL had sirloin 27 euro that she could not finish...do I sampled both. Both absolutely lovely. This was an evening meal but I suspect the views are great in daylight!More

We arrived via bikes without a reservation at 12.30pm and now feel so lucky we got a table. The waiters were very professional, there is a really good vibe, they were all smiling and made us feel very relaxed. All of the food tasted amazing....The view is obviously fabulous. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!More

We found it open most days as the others said. Locals tend to eat later and very slowly. You are not rushed. Work around what suits you
