Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very sharply priced deals at midday with some nice Sea bass included in the menu . Baked Cheesecake was superb. Ladies in charge of the show, multi lingual and socially apt. A pavement table with mostly fresh food , crisp salads and decent chilled wines...by the glass. €16 for 3 courses inc bread and a glass of wine is tremendous value . About the same as one glass of house wine in a Michelin 3 Star restaurant. (with service added). Done deal rest here for a while here and reflect on values. That’s why they are busy and happy.More

Having eaten in what feels like every mediocre restaurant in L’Escala over the past decades I can honestly say this restaurant is an absolute gem. Wonderfully attentive service, lovely setting away from the crowds yet in the heart of the old town, and the food...is absolutely delicious. Great tapas menu. All the dishes we tried including the prawns, meatballs, chicken, steak, asparagus and patatas were all beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. The service and attention to detail is impeccable. We sat outside very comfortably. Everything so clean and perfect inside too. If I could give 10 stars I would. Prices very reasonable too! We will definitely be making this our regular please whenever we are in town. Thank you for a lovely evening we will be back soon. Highly recommend Jardi de Pedra!!! A must when you are in L’Escala!!More

We visited the restaurant after hearing several recommendations from friends and were delighted by the menu, quality of food, setting and experience. There is an extensive menu alongside the menu del dia and we cannot wait to return for the tapas menu!

After a wonderful stay at jardi de Pedra last summer I returned recently and my visit certainly lived up to expectations. The hotel is beautifully decorated and perfectly clean, the food this year was exceptional. For fish lovers like myself it is not to be...missed! The squid in black ink was tremendous. Staff are highly professional and extremely attentive. If you are visiting L’Escala this gorgeous boutique hotel is the place to stay! Thank you again jardi de pedra, I look forward to my next stay with you.More

Had a fabulous night at Jardi de Pedra, from start to finish the staff were very attentive and the food was 5* quality. The atmosphere was classy and sophisticated but also comfortable, warming and welcoming making it a great atmosphere - suitable for everyone. We...had starters which were prompt and delicious and I had the salmon as my main (which was cooked to perfection and flavoursome). This restaurant is part of a hotel and it looked like the amazing service flowed throughout as it seemed the hotel guests were very well looked after (observing a few conversations between customers and the manager). It was great to see the owner present throughout our visits, actively getting involved and making sure everything was 5*. I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant and it certainly wont be my last visit. :)More

15 years ago this was a scruffy place, Jojo's. It has been gutted, rebuilt and is now a very smart restaurant with rooms above. It is right in the centre of the town, about 200m from the sea. We had Sunday lunch for 4 on...a warm day in June, and are from their menu del dia which isn't universally available on a Sunday. Food was fine, Rosada was excellent, Creme Catalan could have had a bit longer under the blow torch, but generally it was good for €18.50pp. It was quiet which is always difficult to explain, but they deserve a chanceMore

This is a little jewel in a delightful little sea-side town. A small hotel in an attractive town house with a patio at the back (the stone garden of its name). The location is great, very much in the centre of town and at the...same time literally 1 minute's walk to the sea (I timed myself and I don't walk fast). The rooms are beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms, the breakfast buffet is varied and lavish, the hotel also a very good restaurant attached to it (and when the weather is good - i.e. a lot of the time - you can have your meals there). Above all the staff just seem to have the knack to make you feel at home. All of them are incredibly helpful and caring and, well, just very nice. A really good team, And then there is the great Lindsay, the "boss", who goes out of her way to meet all your needs. The first time I stayed there, in November 2017, I casually mentioned that I like softer pillows and the next thing I knew she had bought new pillows, just for me, and made sure they were on my bed when I went again in March of this year. There is a great feel good vibe about this place, and you soon feel like an old friend, and you want to go again, and again...More

The atmosphere is very pleasant and we were very well catered for by the owner and her staff. We visit...L’Escala every year and this is a truly wonderful find that we shall definitely be revisiting whenever we are back.More
