We booked a meal at The Burrs and it was superb, the restaurant is intimate and cosy with a really family feel. The food itself was beyond, we had the deep fried Brie and Crab brûlée (that is one of the most amazing crab dishes...we have ever eaten) followed by salmon and duck. We then just about managed to cram in a pudding that we shared. The Burrs is clearly a five star restaurant and should be a destination for anyone on the IOW or coming to visit.More

We enjoyed yet another first class evening at Burrs. As usual, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. They offer a three course fixed price dinner as well as an a-la-carte menu so the only problem we had was choosing what to eat...as both menus had many of our favourite dishes. Our food was perfectly cooked, exactly to our liking and beautifully presented. The complementary warm homemade bread and olives at the start of the meal was a nice touch. The garnishes with our starters and the side salad with our main courses were works of art. They were packed with an array of very different, tasty and refreshing ingredients and brought a lovely splash of colour to the table. The tables are attractively set and the ambience is very relaxing so it makes for a great dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit.More

I spent a wonderful evening at Burrs recently and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is warm, charming and friendly, and the staff are outstanding. The food didn’t just look amazing, it tasted incredible too! The chef and his team do a remarkable job...- I couldn’t choose a favourite from my three course, they were all absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend Burrs, and will visit again soon.More

I have been fortunate enough to dine at some fine London restaurants, so I have some idea of fine dinning and culinary skills. The standard of food in presentation and taste is easily on par with some of the best food experiences I have every...had. It's no wonder Burrs is rated so highly and deserves every credit. Its also nice to see a small traditional kitchen at work.More

burrs never disappoints, i went with my partner and my mother in law for her birthday as she hasn’t been in years! and we were so impressed yet again, the waiting staff (jasmin and casey) were attentive, but didn’t over do it leaving us to...enjoy our meal. we had brie and calamari to start and were both so amazing, i definitely recommend, and the fillet steak for my main course. it was perfect! me and my partner both had the steak and said it was the best one we had ever had! i would definitely recommend the mustard sauce! somehow we all managed to have a dessert and im so glad we did! the pastry chef, jodie is so amazing at not just making the desserts taste incredible, but making them look just as good. they have the most wonderful presentation, with edible flowers and popping balls. thank you matt, and the rest of the staff for making out night perfect.More

We went to Burrs for a nice meal for my mum’s birthday. For a starter I got my favourite, the deep fried Brie which was perfect. I then Ordered a steak with sweet potato fries which was fantastic and by far the highlight of my...night!! For desert, I had a had a sticky toffee pudding, and overall the food was just delicious and the service was absolutely excellent as always. You really can’t beat Burr’s. It is hands down the best restaurant on the Isle of Wight in my opinion and I will certainly be going again. Perfect experience 10/10.More

Exceptional food and service! A all round 5 star experience. The care, attention and detail which goes into the food the create really is worth the visit. It was my mums 70th birthday and they offered to make a homemade cake when I made the...booking. We also had our 11 year old son with us and they offered to make him anything he liked. The food was of such high quality and we were made to feel really special. They were also offering 3 courses for £28.99, which was exceptional value for the quality of good! Very lucky to have a gem of a place like this on the island! Don’t hesitate to bookMore

Really excellent meal. The restaurant is very welcoming. The waiting staff are friendly and efficient, not a combination that always happens. We had the set menu, £28.50 for three courses. There is also an a la carte menu, but as the set menu has choices...that i liked the look of, I didn't look at it. My warm black pudding salad starter was attractively presented and well cooked. As was my main course of beef stew with dumplings. The beef was just the right side of falling apart on the fork and the dumplings were nicely sticky without being stodgy. My partner has a dairy intolerance and the restaurant catered for this without batting an eyelid, adapting dishes and recommending suitable alternatives. My pudding was their take on a tiramisu, using ginger biscuits and rum. It was also rather excellent. The total bill for the two of us including a bottle of wine and coffee and liquors came to less than £100, for one of the best meals I have had for quite while.More
