From the door being opened for us and seated down, this restaurant does service and speciality on another level. The staff are so lovely, polite, know what is in the dishes and friendly, The food is nothing short of outstanding. This is better than indian...food which i love but this restaurant takes it to another level. Absolutely loved it and came back again the next day for more. Try the Dosas....More

Had a takeaway from here and it was so good. I love Indian food and think this is my new favourite place. There are dishes on the menu that I’ve not heard of before and can’t wait to try them. I hadn’t had a masala...dosa before and it was delicious, really light and tasty. Would recommend the seek kebab and the king fish. Also really lovely parathas, not greasy at all. Ordered the chicken tikka masala for my little boy and it was so much better than your average tikka masala. They should be very proud of their chefs! Excellent.More

This was great food. The spices and flavours are amazing. Love it when you get both and the taste is like a good fine wine dazzling your taste buds. Well done. And an excellent value. Starters and mains with drinks. £37.50. What’s more to say.

Our first visit to Thira after hearing many great reviews .... and it definitely did not disappoint !! We loved it !! Food, service and ambience all really good and we will definitely be back. The menu here offers a really big selection and some...really interesting dishes we`d never tried before or even seen on other Indian Restaurant menus. I had the scallop starter, which was delicious. There were clean plates all round at the end of our meal and it looked to be the same on all the other tables. Highly recommended.More

Easily my favourite Indian restaurant. A real southern Indian specialist restaurant. Our favourites are chicken 65, lamb niligiri and medu vada. Absolutely delicious

Fabulous food, especially the sea bass and lemon rice. We also had lamb rogan josh, with a choice of how hot it would be. This was delicious too. Really helpful and attentive staff.

Outstanding again - management managed to find us a table despite a huge party and overworked staff...kitchens produced beautiful food - they take the time and the trouble. A great place.

We really enjoyed our food. I'm not even much of a fan of dosa but when I tried my wife's it was one of the best I've ever had. All the food was excellent and there were lots of things on the menu which weren't...familiar to me- I love having the chance to try new things. That novelty extended to the drinks- we both tried pineapple and chilli sherbets which were refreshing and delicious. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. Perfect location too. Just a few minutes from the train station, right in the centre.More

Fabulous Keralan food. Little boy's first Indian restaurant and he loved it - the children's meal he had was just right in terms of size . Poppadoms came with a beetroot chutney I'd never had before which was very interesting. The waiter asked if we...wanted mild, medium or spicy - and both mild (me) and medium (my husband) were bang on in terms of the spice level we wanted, and very very good. Ghee dosa was delicious and the paratha was fantastic. And I couldn't believe how cheap it was.More
