The Clog & Billycock

Location and contact

The Clog and Billycock is situated just a short drive from Blackburn in Pleasington, one of the most picturesque areas in Lancashire. So, like every real Lancashire village, it needs a pub full of Lancashire tradition and fantastic hospitality. Steeped in all the history you might expect of a rural treasure & originally known as the Bay Horse Inn, the pub now takes its name from clogs and the billycock which were the favourite attire of a landlord who took over in the early 20th century… and somehow the idea stuck.

Had an excellent meal at a reasonable price, but because they are so popular we had to leave earlier than we wanted. I would still highly recommend.

We have always enjoyed coming here - and I do think that since B & P bought the place, that it is better now ! Larger tables and the standard B & P menu and beers. Very good - coming again tomorrow !

We hadn't visited for a while so decided to call in for lunch. The menu seems a little more restricted than previously. However the food was good and freshly made. We will be back
