Having read the excellent reviews we thought we would treat ourselves and try Saffron Summer. It was absolutely brilliant! Beautiful food full of delicate and delicious flavours, impeccable service worthy of a five star hotel and a pleasant ambiance despite a challenging location on the Hook roundabout.
A little more expensive than our usual more traditional Indian but we felt we had enjoyed a very special dining experience. Try the beautiful Jazz Street Food starter which was delicious. My husband had the lamb rogan josh and I had the butter chicken both of which were extremely tender.

My partner and I have celebrated our past two anniversaries at Saffron Summer. On both occasions we experienced the same attentive, friendly, classy service from the wait staff. The food was delicious ; rich with flavor and cooked to a tender perfection.
Dishes were thoughtfully described to us and elegantly delivered. The atmosphere is warm and tasteful, with the perfect level of low-lighting and candlelight on the table. Saffron Summer went the extra mile to help make the evening special. We would happily return and recommend.

We came to Saffron Summer after looking for a place online with good reviews I’m the area on our way back from an outing. The food blew us away as it was so well seasoned and delicately balanced. It was also not just your run of the mill Indian fare, but some really original recipes on the menu. It felt really safe and social distancing was observed with the staff wearing proper protective gear. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. We are definitely returning to sample some more of the menu. We felt the good was reasonably priced for the portion sizes and quality.

We called just before 9pm to see if they would be happy to let us in as we live local but had been caught a bit short by the Covid curfew. They very kindly offered us a table and I felt extremely safe there and like they were taking the necessary precautions seriously.
The food was lovely, beautifully presented and good sized portions. Each dish had delicate flavours. Waiters were very friendly and attentive, and were very happy to package up our leftovers so we could enjoy them for lunch tomorrow.
Would definitely go again, also really liked the decor, very tranquil!

We were staying at the Chessington Resort Hotel and shortly after arriving we were told that we were supposed to pre book a table. We weren’t previously informed of this and sadly some poor family’s were having to take their food to their rooms. We decided to search the local area for somewhere nice to eat and found Saffron Summer through Google. We booked a table and left the hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table. The head waiter was very polite, informative about the menu and happy to help with our decisions. The food was served promptly and the flavours were absolutely amazing. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Indian cuisine with a more rustic menu.

Lovely evening with a group of friends yesterday. We had a selection of vegetarian and non- vegetarian starters, mains and desserts, all delicious. We enjoyed Nacito’s super attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. Can highly recommend this place.

This is my second time of ordering takeaway to be delivered. I was recommended by friends to try the restaurant menu, they had very favourable things to say about it. I did and was very impressed with the food and the presentation of takeaway delivery. I decided to order delivery takeaway last evening and was very disappointed as it was not up to the usual standard, now whether this was because it was a Tuesday and quiet, but when the food arrived it was luke warm and I had to heat it up in the microwave, also the pappadoms were dry and chewy as if they had been reheated. The Naan bread was cold. For all this I paid £25.00. It left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and makes me think twice about ordering from them in the future, maybe I ljust hit an off night.

We were visiting Chessington and the hotel restaurant was fully booked so we decided to go here- best decision! Now, I’ve eaten plenty of curries over the years and I can honestly say this the best I’ve ever had.
The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout, they were brilliant with the kids, picking up their crayons and pens, topping up their water and ensuring they were happy.
With the current Covid issue the staff were well on top of it, wearing face masks & gloves and cleaning frequently when required.
The food- just incredible. The mini papadums were a great idea accompanied by 3 tasty sauces. The 4 adults had starters consisting of the Prawn Recheado, Karwari Fried Fish and the Chicken Trilogy - all perfect. For the mains we had Kabuli Gosht (Lamb Rump), Lamb Rogan Josh x2 and the Boar Vindaloo (which can be tamed down if you are not sure of the heat) and the kids shared a Chicken Tikka Masala, there was rice and naan too, everything was flavoursome, nothing left, simply delicious.
My only issue is they are a 1 hour drive away!
If you live near Chessington you must try this place, if you are holidaying in Chessington you must try this place, if you are passing through you must try this place. If you love curry, you MUST try this place!

We were recommended this restaurant many years ago by a local taxi driver who said the food was incredible and he was not wrong. Lots of dishes you don’t find on a regular Indian menu and some more familiar ones. I am veggie and love the tandoori broccoli, so delicious. Their food seems much less greasy than other restaurants.
As well as the food the service is impeccable, we have visited many times before lockdown and waiting staff are always friendly and attentive, and with lockdown they have created a very safe environment.
We always find it a very calm atmosphere, great for couples, friends and families - we highly recommend it, no faults.

First time here. Wednesday night just as lockdown lifting so it was quiet. They take cleanliness and risk VERY seriously. The staff have 2 different masks on, gloves, and are constantly anti baccing the menus, card machine etc.. It is a bit weird when you walk in but they are very friendly and you soon get used to it. Food was great. Stand outs were the broccoli starter and the Romney Marsh Lamb main.
Waiter seemed great at his job. Courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable.
They could not have done more to make you feel confident in eating there and the food is def worth going out for.

The best service ever! All of the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, so attentive to our needs and far beyond expectations. The best food so delicious! I am vegan and I’m very happy to have amazing Indian vegan food choices with a separate menu. Definitely would recommend.

An imaginative and interesting menu which includes some classic "curry" dishes but also an eclectic selection of intriguing options, such as Smoked Rump of Romney Lamb and Wild Boar Vindaloo as well as creative vegetarian options. The service was courteous and informative, with waiting staff willing to explain the dishes in detail and make helpful suggestions. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A very enjoyable evening.

Went for dinner here this evening and was very happy with the experience. The waiter is very professional and friendly which, on top of the excellent food, made the whole dinner thoroughly enjoyable. The food was perfect (both in taste and presentation) and so was the service - all at a very reasonable price. Will be recommending to my family and look forward to eating here again! Many thanks.

We had dinner at Saffron Summer last night. We were in the area and picked this place up basis the reviews on TA. Such a good decision it turned out to be in the end.
To start with, it can be a bit confusing to get to (it’s bang on the corner on the service road which also has a few parking slots) and the front looks a little bit too dull (make you doubt if it is the same place), but don’t worry walk straight in and you will get into a cosy atmosphere accompanied by great service.
We were 6 of us and between us we ordered, papadums, chicken trilogy, butter chicken, calamari, rogan josh, chana, paneer, tandoori roti, garlic naan, rice, rasmalai and pistachio Kulfi washed down with a few cobras, merlot and lemonade.
Overall everything looked amazing and tasted very good. For me chicken, calamari, rogan josh and the rasmalai stood out and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for the same.
Even the cobras came in perfect condition - just the right temperature, right glass and prompt service.
My only little gripe if I can say is with the pricing of rotis and the drinks which I think is a lill bit in the higher side considering Chessington. Otherwise full marks to the chef, waiters and the place.
Go with a big appetite and you won’t be disappointed. 👍🏻👍🏻

Everything so colourful and beautifully presented in this immaculate restaurant. They had fine , fresh distinctive flavours and most unusually wild game recipes on their menu. Everything enthusiastcally explained by our waiter. Comfortable, reasonably priced ( we took advantage of a two mains for the price of one promotion) and every single dish (even the poppadoms!) unlike anywhere else I have experienced We had the Prawm Malai and the lamb, but I want to return to try the boar and guinea fowl dishes! Good vegetarian choices too.
