2nd time I've been to here but not for some time. Popped in (no booking) on a Saturday lunch time and was first in (roughly 12.30). After, 6 other diners came (1x2 and 1x4) and 3 for takeaway. But in January on a miserable day (weather-wise) I guess it is no surprise. Our food was very good and good value. We ordered a sharing meat platter which was for 2/3 persons. It came with a nice variety of BBQ meats on a bed of - very nice, soft, buttery - rice together with 2 side salads. It really was enough for 3. The price (£40) included 4 mezze dishes as starters as well (4 of your own choice). All in all it was very good food, reasonably priced and with good service. Very happy customer.

Got lucky and managed to book on the evening to squeeze in between the usual 6 and 8pm sittings on Friday night thanks to the help of Inma. Food was served quickly and absolutely delicious in very generous portions! Staff were wonderful, in particular Inma who checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. 2 people eating with a couple of starters, main and drinks was under £35, so very good value for money too. Restaurant is very pleasant place to be as well. All in all, easily the best meal in Didcot. Wonderful from start to finish!

Ziganas prove that if you get the formula right then you can produce excellent simple food at the right price. Bbq chicken and lamb, amazing rice and bread to die for all with a very high level of service. What is not to love?

What a treat in these difficult days!

What a treat in these difficult days to still be able get the super fresh, delicious food from Zigana’s. Offering a well organised take away service the food was just as good as the many times we have eaten in. Their servings are generous and the meat portions huge. Their flavours are so authentic and service is prompt and friendly. Thank you so much for going to the trouble of reorganising your whole restaurant in order to safely provide the takeaway service and thank you as ever, for a really satisfying and tasty dinner. We can’t wait until we can eat in again.

Four of us visited Zigana for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Never been before but we were looking for something different nearby instead of the usual pub lunch. This didn't disappoint. Service was efficient and the food was excellent. We had the full house mezze to start which was really good. Some amazing flavours. The mains were equally great. All freshly cooked to order over charcoal giving some wonderful flavours. Portion sizes were very generous and we didn't leave feeling hungry that's for sure! Excellent value for money. I highly recommend taking a trip to Zigana. It's well worth it.

Best Turkish food I have had in the uk

Had dinner here this evening (Monday) the restaurant was full and buzzing . The service was fast and efficient and very polite . The food was just amazing we had the hot starter platter followed by the mixed meat there was not a bad thing on the plate . We travel to northern Cyprus a lot and this restaurant is every bit as good as the best there . Thanks for a great meal will be returning very soon.

I'm intolerant to dairy and eggs & one other person in our party of 4 is gluten free. The waitress serving us took great care in making sure our food was suitable for our intolerances. As someone with two food intolerances, i thought I'd struggle here. But i could actually eat 6 out of 8 mezzes & had a great main dish. My gluten free friend could eat all of the mezzes (without bread) and had lots of options for her main. Very happy & full. Prices are amazing as well. Thank you so much!

Visited for the first time tonight and ordered a chicken kebab. It came with slices of cut pitta on the side which was annoying as expected it to be meat inside a pitta. It also came with rice and some grilled veg. The chicken was lovely tender meat all good quality. Had a side order of Turkish Baklava which was also nice. Highly recommended.

Popped in on a Monday lunchtime , place was not busy so obviously got seated quickly . Menu is very good and extensive for all tastes . Our meal came with side salad , and dip and bread . Meat was cooked nicely , rice perfect and overal quality was excellent. Starter and main coarse and can if drink was around £19 but filled me up . Would go back again in an instant (except I think MP Boris has shut it down whilst virus takes over 😂😂)

Great food

Great fresh kebabs. No wonder this place is popular and always full. Will definitely come back again. Reminds me of the food i had on my trip to turkey. One criticism is that diet coke is not the same as coke zero.

25th Wedding Anniversary

We tried Zigana’s last night for the first time to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary., and we’re not disappointed! The food was hot and delicious. As we hadn’t tasted Turkish cuisine, we ordered a mixed platter for starters and the BBQ platter for main course to try out as much as we could! So much food to eat, not wasted though as we were offered a takeout box to save our leftovers. We were unable to get a taxi home and we’re so surprised to be offered a lift home from the owner!! We walked home in the end to burn off some calories!, 😉 All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience,would definitely recommend.

The BEST meal we’ve had in Didcot

We moved to Didcot 2 years ago and FINALLY got around to getting a ziganas takeaway last night. OMG it was the best meal we’ve had in Didcot! Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. We had the hot appetiser platter and a meat platter with mezze and every single dish was outstanding! I’m going to struggle to stay away for 2 days now let alone 2 years! Can’t wait to come back next weekend!

Excellent food, terrible service

The food is excellent but service terrible. We waited an hour and a quarter for our food. We reminded staff twice and even when they said it was on its way we waited another 30 minutes. No apology, told delay due to takeaway orders, although tables around us where served. We weren’t offered additional drinks, dessert or coffee, even though we finished our main course at 9.30, on a Saturday night.

Wonderful dinner

Read positive reviews on Zigana and decided to give it a try. We had the chicken wings and mixed platter combo of lamb and mince chicken. Both came with salad, rice and bread. They were generous portions and delicious. Salad was fresh and went well with the dishes. The meat was cooked over charcoal and you can tell they have been well marinated. Lamb was tender. The chicken wings are recommended. Full of flavour. Thank you.

Food was brilliant, service was beyond terrible! Waited over we 1.5 hours! The owner/ manger was absolutely awful and after waiting 1.5 hours and complaining the manger/owners words were “ well you chose to come here”food is good but I don’t not recommend!!!!!
