Not too fancy but fantastic pub eatery. Great local beers and the pork belly roast was insanely tasty

Visited the Bear for dinner as a party of 8. Lovely welcome, great service and great food. All 8 of us had great starters and mains ... possibly a little too much on the plate! My sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth, which is difficult to get right. My only small gripe ... but this... More

Nice place, haven't tried the food but will give it a go in the future as menu looked interesting and bar person said they were really booked, always a good sign

Very good food served by charming staff in a clean, authentic setting. Very popular with locals which is always an indicator of consistently high standards.

We called 'on spec' earlier today. With a friendly welcome, a wide range of beers and a range of food options all looked good. We only wanted a bar snack .. and so we ordered a baguette. It turned out to be rather more than a snack with chips and coleslaw plus a substantial baguette. We felt that the price... More

Lovely atmosphere, great food, great ales. Good evening experience, it's kind of in the middle of no where, so you have to drive or get a taxi. Highly recommend for a meal if you're in the area.

We had dinner at this pub in very early January. It is so welcoming on entry. Bar staff were very friendly. It had the feel of a well run happy establishment. It was busy but not frenetic with a lovely large fire roaring away. We had whitebait and chicken liver pâté to start. My husband had pork belly which he... More

The Bear is a longstanding favourite destination for our family and friends; excellent for a few drinks, lunch or supper. We visited in between Christmas and new year to catch up with friends and had a great lunch as ever. Run by a friendly father / daughter team the Bear is exactly what a country pub should be - traditional... More
