Always my favourite Turkish restaurant in Enfield

I’m very particular about my favourite foods from Turkish restaurants and how they’re prepared. I’ve tried almost every Turkish restaurant in Enfield and Ada are by far the best. The Ezme salad is just like no other (it’s my favourite okay lol). The food In general is just better quality than most places. I usually order online but today I went in with my partner and we both received such amazing service that I think we’ll be dinning in more often now. We went in around 3pm today (16.08.22) and had two very professional waiters serve us. The cocktails were made to perfection with that extra bit of alcohol that everyone loves hehe :) we ordered a Long Island and a lychee mojito. Yes I said lycheeeee! Sooo delicious. I can’t say anything bad other than how hard it was to find parking which isn’t any fault of the restaurant itself. Food 10/10, service 11/10, cleanliness 10/10. Just a massive 10/10 overall! Very happy customers and bellies completely full. Will definitely recommend to friends and family xx

Superb food and service

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch time visit ordering the chefs special platter which we shared between a family a three (two adults, 1 child). My partner and his son particularly enjoyed the barbecue taste of the chicken wings and lamp chop. We could not fault the food or the service. All the staff were polite, attentive and efficient making use feel very welcome and looked after during our visit; they could not have been more helpful. We felt it was excellent value for money and we can kt recommend Ada's more highly. We just wished we lived closer so could visit again sooner!

I went for a weekday lunch with my wife. I ordered Moussaka for my main course which was fine but not amazing. We received a free starter - bread, hoummus and a couple of other spreads - which was generous. A free diet coke too, all for £7.95 if i remember correctly. So not expensive and a large amount of food. (Too much really.) My only gripe was that the food was nice enough but not amazing. I suggest that the restaurant focus more on quality than quantity.

Very Disappointed

Poor restaurant experience

This restaurant seems to be very tight with its salad. Its staff also have an attitude problem. We spent £80 plus on food, plus alcohol, and the waiter gave us a small salad for four people with the starters. On the menus, which were whisked away, it stated that all meals came with a salad each. No salad each came with the mains. I asked the waiter where was our salad with the main as per the menu? He first said ‘You want extra salad?’ meaning we had to pay £5 to have the salad - they’d also said that to us on the last visit a few months back. I said, ‘Not extra. It says it comes with the meals but you have not brought it.’ I then had to catch his eye which took a time as he seemed ‘busy’ elsewhere to ask a further two times as our meals were growing cold. Finally, he brought a small bowl of salad for us four and said in a thinly veiled sarcastic voice to me, ‘Here it is. Just for you’. No apology for not bringing out the wrong meal, or for the wait. Trying to get the bill brought took a further long wait, so we went to the till to pay which seemed to surprise the waitress who asked ‘Was no one there?’. I said ‘They were but we couldn’t get there attention’. My idea of a pleasant evening out is not *to be taken for a fool *having to chase the correct meal that I or ordered *having to chase the bill and give up and go to the till *to be spoken to disrespectfully by a sarcastic, deliberately inattentive waiter That was my last visit to Ada.

The quality has waned.

I have been eating here since it opened. I used to really rate the quality of this restaurant and value, but unfortunately, things have really taken a nose-dive. The lamb we were given tonight was extremely poor quality. It almost tasted like it was liver in grain and taste. It was not edible. When you consider that each lamb shish kebab cost around £23 each, this is inexcusable. The prices for this restaurant have been increasing so significantly, and I would now class them as extortionate. They give you less for what you pay for too. A side of halloumi, with 4 slices of halloumi, costs £7. They also make you pay for food to be delivered. It's starting to feel like a con going there, and they have now lost my custom. I would advise looking elsewhere for quality and value, as the restaurant is not delivering as it did when it first opened. Avoid!

Disappointing experience

Very disappointing meal for our party of 22. At 30 quid plus each one would expect more than shared salad starter and shared platters of fatty ribs , chicken thighs on a what passed for a bed of rice. Desert ok . Waiters less than enthusiastic. We would have been better off having individual dishes. Also small point but weather conditions meant we all arrived with coats, umbrellas etc and when I asked for somewhere to leave this was met met by a shrug, Not good enough .

LAMB SHISH tastes ODD/CHEWY/LIVER ??

We use this restaurant regularly once a month… Today we were very disappointed with the quality of the lamb shish.. Definitely changed supplier .. tasted like liver/ chewy meat.. not the tender delicious lamb cubes of old. Service was very rushed.. We had not finished our starter and the main was placed- We will think again before returning to our favourite old restaurant…

Horrific experience

Absolutely appalling! As a customer for over 6 years never had a such a terrible experience at Ada. This was one of our fav places to catch up with family, such a shame to be writing this. Last night full of tension, atmosphere very tensed the servers had no clue about the menu we had to describe what we wanted. I believe the management has changed as I have not seen one familiar face. Order was taken wrong. Food was okay if they had not taken the order wrong or had listened to what we asked for more clearly. Food as mentioned was okay but portion sizes seems smaller. We tried to have a little joke to maybe change it up but seemed nothing was understood and we felt very awkard even about telling a joke. One of our guests had an allergy intolerance unfortunately no one had a clue on understanding what she meant and we were not satisfied with the way we were approached and lack of manner we were spoken to. Such a shame to say but we won't be returning.

Awful Restaurant

The service was appalling. Waitresses were slow even though it was not busy ie 4 other people in the place. They did not know what came with the meal. We asked if we got rice or potatoes and was told no. We order chips to go with meal. The meal had potatoes in it??. Also we got a side dish of rice. We were told the lunch time menu included a cold drink but never came. When we asked for it at the end of the meal ... we were told that the uncle of the waitress decided no more cold drinks were included in the menu. Well if you see us again (6 people in party) you can call me a fool.

Mouldy Food!

Absolutely disgusting! I have just had dinner at Ada in Enfield and will never step foot in there again. I am horrified at what my 7 year old son was served for desert. My child had eaten half of his cake when i decided to try some. As soon as the cake hit my lips i could taste the mould! i turned the cake over in the plate and the entire bottom was covered in mould! This is completely unacceptable and although the staff put blame on their suppliers my child still left with a belly full of gone off cake. Change your supplier or learn how to store your food! Totally disgusted!

so disappointed by the service

We have used Ada in the past and we've been happy. We went 2 weeks ago on a Saturday evening. They only had two tables with customers and us. We were 6 people. We ordered our food included starters and mains. The waitress wasn't very friendly, almost rude. After 5 mns of eating our starters, our mains arrived which is not good at all! There was no apologies and we were made to feel that we had no choice in asking them to take the mains back to the kitchen. Anyway, we finished our food and at 9 o'clok one of us asked for a coffee to be told that the machine was switched off. We asked why and were told that they wanted to finish early as they will have a very busy tomorrow ( Father's day). Please look after your cutomers whiile they are in your restaurant rather than rushing them out... so so disappointed with the service and how it was handle. The food was good.

Tasty Turkish meal.

Have eaten here a few times and prefer it to the other 'bigger' Turkish restaurants locally. It's more modern Turkish food in my opinion. Noticed today that they had a lamb dumpling dish which I might try next time. It's never terribly busy but the service is very good. Our meals were very tasty and it was lovely to round it off with a complimentary Turkish tea.

Great Turkish place in Enfield Town

Came here for lunch and it was empty so got a table straight away. They serve halal food. The food is good value and starts with complimentary bread, salad, tzatziki, chilli sauce and hummus. The grill was lovely - cous cous could do with a bit more seasoning but otherwise really enjoyed it.

Food is not as good compared to same cuisine in different restaurant

We went for a family and friends dinner at about 9pm on 23rd jan 2020.the restaurant was not that busy.only 2 waitress were present who were really rushed to get order with no greetings,smile whatsoever.we ordered the family special which was £60ish with drinks,ayran and 3 serves of chips on top.the food was served in 15 mins which was cold,flavorless and compare to money it was not worth it.I have been to capital,aksular,kosk,vadi,efes and charcoal grill and many more turkish restaurants but it was the worst family platter ever where only meat and rice with bread was served no grilled tomatoes,onion, chilli not even complimentary baklava or piece of fruit which is normal to any turkish restaurant.the salad was bland with only lettuce and tomatoes no pomegranate juice to with,hoummous was without olive oil. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would never go back to visit them again. It was my 2nd visit 1st time food was horrible and this time it was worst worst worst..

Dear costumer this is plater for 7 people's max ! You all were more than 10 ppl. Also there is no rules to all turkish restaurants has to be same ! About tomato and peppers we only serve them as requested because of allergy and some peppers are really hot !! Humus serve as dips for free once if you order as portion then u will get with oil !! I m sorry but you will only get this much service for £60 about 12 people.

myself and a friend visit here at least once a month and we have our favourite table. we are a meat eater and a vegetarian and we are both served equally and the staff know what we both like. we have been told we are friends and not just customers.. very friendly and we are served quickly.
