Don't bother with this place, they had no ice cream at all...hottest time of the year and no ice cream? They've missed a trick here. Awful staff...

Ordered via deliveroo, simple meal of cheesy chips and beans twice, as our kitchen is being fitted amd we were hangry. Cost of £16!!! Twist is really nearby yet chips awful really dry, overcooked, greasy, with piddling small ice cream cups of beans, how can...you get a meal like chips and beans wrong? If it was generous and nicely cooked and packaged you could be forgiving of the price but this was appalling and we feel ripped off. Deliveroo doesn’t give a refund for this kind of thing. Won’t be ordering again, just can’t believe the gall of it to charge so much and then provide such bad food. Very very unhappy.More

I decided to buy some ice creams from Twist. Firstly, the Ferrero Rocher flavour feels like 1 small piece of the chocolate has been mixed into 2 litres of vanilla ice cream. The Chocolate chip had no chips in it and was plain chocolate! There...were a few minimal amounts of chips sprinkled on the top but if that was the only place they would be the server should have assured that we got some actual chips in it. Both scoops had no chips in it! What’s the point?? There were a few other minor issues that wouldn’t have mattered but since I have got this awful treatment from the retailer… The senior staff on duty that day had a foul face and did not even acknowledge me. The junior staff was quite nervous around her and left my card in the card machine. To add to the horrible experience and my main reason for the review, I was charged twice!! When I noticed this error on my bank statement I contacted the retailer via email, and provided proof of receipts and screenshots of my bank statement. “Mitul” got back to me and asked for a few days to investigate. After that he emailed me to ask for my no. to discuss and then silence! I received no phone call. I sent two emails after that over the next couple of days and no response, they were ignored. I now have had to contact the fraud department of my bank to recover the money and could have avoided the hassle if “Mitul” had a backbone. Needless to say I will not visit again and please be careful of your card transactions with this company.More

Met friends on Sunday evening. Wasn’t busy at all but the staffs were not friendly and looked grumpy rushed us to give order. Foods weren’t up to the standard as expected and heavily overpriced. Toilet weren’t cleaned properly too. Disappointed and won’t go back.

This place is vegetarian friendly as it serves NO meat – they do main meals as well as their desserts. I have tried their paneer wrap, samosas (their food is menu has a mix on Indian and junk-ish food)- I didn’t find their food too...spicy but has a good amount of flavour (slightly sweet rather than a tangy/lemony flavour). This may not be appealing to some however if you are Vegetarian then you'll appreciate this Dessert Lounge. I often find some dessert lounges’ to have very dry desserts – most of the time I have to ask for extra melted chocolate which they charge me extra for. But at Twist they absolutely cover your dessert in the melted chocolate, which is perfect for me. Their desserts range is eggless cakes, ice-cream, churros, eggless crepes/pancakes/waffles with a selection of toppings, sundaes, cheesecake, hot cookie dough and apple crumble. Of course, if you follow this diet, you'll appreciate this place, if you don't the likelihood is you won't (for all those who have complained). In my experience, the staff are great and I usually add extra bits to my order, they are usually accommodating to this.More

We popped in for a desert and a coffee. We are use to eating good and fresh gelato in many of the ice cream bars in london and were visiting friends locally. The waitress firstly wore her mask barely covering her face and her nose,...then when ordering it was unreal in the way she was attitudey, abrupt and short in her approach and demeanor. So much for customer service. The ice cream had ice crystals in it and had formed a skin a classic sign of stale ice cream ( which is why all the stores in London throw it out regularly ) - when we metioned it to the manager, he was very defensive and almost made out that we were making a fuss for no reason. As a paying customer ( its not a cheap place ) he should have been more understanding and listened to our genuine concerns. Reading all the reviews here, I am not surprised that it has so many negative reviews. The whole staff need to go to customer service training and the Manager should be sacked ( he was probably the owner with the arrogance he displayed )More

We went to Twist in the evening with family. We ordered the veggie wrap, chips, jacket potato, pasta, churros and ice cream. Food was average. Service was good but they were under staffed. This plays looks premium on their website but its quite basic and...lacks detail. Churros portion was small but tasted ok. Ice cream was good. Overall I wasn’t blown away.. it’s average. I wouldn’t return as there are better options locally. Thanks for the lovely service though.More

I went with my family yesterday to twist. Food quality was very poor, it appeared ready-made, warmed up and served. Not fresh. Taste was very poor. Samosas were horrible. Falafel wrap was not good. Rest of the food ordered was not that great either. There...were mistakes with the rest of our order. One staff was so rude, made faces, had no sense of hospitality or concept of knowing how to be polite with customers. This place was not welcoming. Poor customer service. Deserts were just ok comparatively but everything else was a disaster. The restaurant had everything going on wrong that one should be diligent about. Our whole family were looking forward to this dinner but it turned out to be a first class fiasco. We have been to Twist before and the experience has been very good. I suggest the management closely looks into the flaws and make improvements before it’s too late.More

We have been to Twist on many occasions however our last visit was terrible. From the extremely rude waitress who gave us the impression that she didn’t want to be there to the terrible standard of food that was served by the grumpy staff. We...will not be going there again and I would urge you to look at other options if you are considering it.More

Yesterday we reached there at 10.45pm (close at 11pm) and we were told eat in area was closed. I said my 2 guests have come from long way and we just like to eat desserts. Five minutes later another senior staff came and said same...thing and I said we don't mind waiting and at same time, party of 8 were leaving (we were 4) so we waited patiently. Then after another 3 minutes another senior staff (looked like the owner) came and told us no eating in just takeaway do you want it. As I was with the guests I decided to do takeaway. Our order was ready literally in 5 minutes and two tables were empty and there were quite few other customers sitting in and waiting for their food/dessert, so didn't understand why we couldn't have just desserts which was ready in 5 minutes and 2 tables were free!! And to add to their arrogance attitude they charged me full price instead of Eat Out Help Out offer, so I had to pay full price as I my guests were with me. When reached home after 10 minutes waffles were cold soggy and ice cream half melted. The prices are absolutely RIP OFF, on top of that staff & management with very ARROGANT ATTITUDE. This was our first and last visit. NEVER AGAINMore

The waiting staff keep their masks off. The place was jammed pack & the manager was letting people queue very closely. Asked for a different flavour icecream in my sundea. Waiting staff VERY RUDELY said no changes. Really ???? What happened to customer service ???...Could be polite. Reading the reviews its surprising this place is still open. They have no regard for their customers.More

The place was absolutely rammed and full with no social distancing measures in place at all. There was a queue formed outside, however inside it was heaving and you could barely move. In the end, decided to order a takeaway rather than staying inside. Shocking...at how packed it was.More
