We used this takeaway back in January this year and we were very impressed. Today the taste was just as good but portion sizes a lot smaller ? My son had a chicken dish and there was only six very small pieces of chicken but it was swimming in a watery sauce. The lamb dishes usually fill the containers but the quantity on all three other dishes ordered was noticeably smaller, we totally understand there’s probably a higher demand but ..........

Lived in horsham a few years now and had given up on trying to have a half decent curry. We used to go to Akash before lock down hit, and had it as take away and it was awful. Decided to try this one, close to where we live and thank goodness we did! Delivery is pretty fast, food quality is excellent and it's really reasonably priced. We had the fixed meal for 4, we r 5 3 of us kids and it was plenty for under 50 pounds.
Highly recommended...

We’e been using Horsham Tandoori for a takeaway curry for the last 8 years and are never disappointed. Delivery is always well within the estimated time slot with the food arriving hot and tasting fresh. We always look forward to our monthly treat.

This was my favourite curry take away until yesterday.
The food here used to be outstanding!

Yesterday my friend and I ordered a delivery.
We were so disappointed with our meal.
My chicken Madras was literally like water, the sauce was so thin and tasted of absolutely nothing. In fact when I opened the tray my initial response to my friend was that they must have forgotten to put the chicken in as it was just sauce. The chicken was actually in there but the sauce was so thin the handful of small chunks had just fallen to the bottom.
The chicken tikka starter here used to be amazing. This time the marinade was definitely different, it tasted like chicken Satay rather than tikka, The flavour was very bland and different.
The whole meal was bland and tasteless. We were so disappointed and we had to use some pataks sauces to actually flavour the food.
The Bombay potato once again tasted of nothing, just like boiled potatoes.
None of the food seemed to have any Salt in. If you had blindfolded me and asked me what I was eating, I wouldn’t know it was a curry. Just some sort of savoury soup.
I didn’t want to leave a review so after the meal I tried 5 times to call the takeaway to air my comments with the manager but nobody answered and the phone just rang off. (It was still well within opening times by the way)
I will give them another go soon as normally the food here is excellent, so maybe the chef has changed? The recipes and food taste was certainly very different! I hope this was just a one off blip!

It's disappointing to read your comments, especially where you claim we were your favourite takeaway, yet you never took a moment to leave positive review for when your experience was excellent?
Our chef has remained the same since we took over 8 years ago, we are a family owned business so the only person who would cook the mains is also the owner.
Sorry to read that the food wasn't up to the usual high standards we hold ourselves to, having seen your missed calls, I can see you tried after our cut off point for orders (we state we stop taking orders 30 minutes prior to closing). A simple voicemail or email with your feedback would have been incredibly valuable for us to redeem ourselves on this occasion.
Perhaps you don't understand the damage negative and often over top reviews can cause local independent businesses but I implore you in future to leave positive reviews for experiences you enjoy too, seeing as you're a regular user of TripAdvisor.
I do hope we have the pleasure of serving you again, perhaps put in a call and ask for Thanbir (I'm the owner) and I'll assess the order before it comes out.

We started ordering our Curry's from Horsham Tandoori since the pandemic started. we used their online ordering service which is fab we always go for the first delivery slot and the food has always turned up on time with a really friendly delivery guy. The food is always really hot on arrival and so tasty even the kids eat it 😄 it's good value for money we would highly recommend it. And we look forward to our next curry soon

Myself and my wife have lived in Horsham our whole lives. We have tried takeaway curry from all the local restaurants, and Horsham Tandoori stands out as the best. Thanbir is always very welcoming and works very hard to make sure you’re happy with both the food and the service. I would highly recommend to anyone!

We have used this restaurant for 5 years on a regular basis. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. Food is lovely and not swimming in grease, arrives hot and arrives in the time frame set. Well done team.m

We live in Cowfold and often struggle to find a great take outs that delivers. We were so happy to find this curry takeaway that gives great service and amazing food. It always arrives pipping hot, on time and all the dishes taste amazing. Would highly recommend.

Having lived in Southwater for a decade, and with some recent poor experiences from other restaurants we wanted to try Horsham Tandoori and we are so glad we did. The menu is packed with great dishes both specials and traditional. We had the Chicken Tikka Dhansak and Vegetable Korma plus some sides dishes. Ordering process was easy, delivery was quick with the food arriving piping hot. Excellent all round and will definitely use again. 5 stars everyday!

Order online. In 5 years have never had an issue. Great food, brilliant service, always early.
Dhansak is the best i've tasted. The good thing is that you can request dishes with extra heat.
Do yourself a favour and order!!

We have been ordering from Horsham Tandorri for years now I can genuinely say its our favorite takeaway! The food is always amazing and tastes great. We order normally by phone and is always very simple. The staff are always polite and let us know how long the wait is going to be. We have never had a delivery longer than what we have been told. We live on the outskirts of Horsham and the food is still piping hot when we receive i t. By far the best take away in Horsham!!!

The service was very good, the meal arrive quickly and hot, but the meal was mainly liquid with a few lumps. Even with all the rice added, it was still very liquidly with very little taste. The other meals lacked taste as well.
Will swerve this one in the future.

I have to say what an Excellent meal and this really is the best curry house in Horsham!
The chicken tikka was mouthwatering and the curries all tasty and hot.
The poppodaums were fresh and crisp and all the food was lovely. The garlic Naan was incredible!
I Haven’t had a curry from here since my last experience a few months ago which was sadly disappointing so was in two minds whether to order again.
I’m so glad I did as it truly was outstanding!
Well done HT, looking forward to my next meal!

compared to any other curry that you would consider an average curry this would be below par.
Very little difference between the dhansak and the bhuna we ordered. vegetables look like frozen frozen veg, grey peas, diced carrot and no flavour. The bhuna had nothing you would relate to a taste of curry and was just like a super sweet vegetable dry stew if there is such a thing.
I can't recommend and so far it would be my least favourite curry ever had in horsham.
And if the owner comments on my profile I only review really good experience or very negative ones.

Sorry to read you didn't enjoy your experience with us and thank you for considering this may have been 'off day' - please be sure we will address this with the team and ensure quality is monitored.
I can assure you the vegetables are not frozen, it actually is easier and cheaper for us to buy fresh and local, though I can see your perspective.
I'm curious to understand what you expect from a curry taste? The sweetness, we assume this is in reference to the Dhansak, a sweet, sour and spicy dish? If the sweetness was the dominant taste, this would be a mismeasurement of the ingredients, a mistake on our part!
We can only apologise for your experience and will assess how the team can improve, this doesn't sound like the representation of the best rated Indian in Horsham on TripAdvisor (as per ranking at time of writing) that we pride ourselves on.

Horsham Tandoori is the only takeaway curry house that we use in Horsham, and we've tried them all. The meals are always fresh and taste great. We've never had a problem with the food or service!!!
