I often find that's it's difficult to get a good local pub lunch. Not anymore! This place is such a nice setting, it's relaxed, looks great inside and out, plenty of seating and a really varied menu. The food is great, service good too, though I have found it to be a little slow on the occasions I've been there,... More

Second visit. Friends get together. Ordered the vintage roast. Had to return it as cold. The beef was difficult to cut through, grissly. The veg was quite sad! Maybe it was the time of day, about 4pm. Not offered the extra jug of gravy as specified on the menu. Very disappointed. I had reommended previously but shall not do so... More

Cosy bar restaurant. Good value . Id definitely recommend bangers and mash . Boyfriend was not keen on what he ordered hunters chicken. The chicken was very dry, he made a comment regarding it at the till when asked if he enjoyed his meal. They removed it from the bill which was very nice as we did not ask. When... More

My husband and I went for dinner last Friday. I had received two emails from The Honey Bee, one offering a two course meal for £11.95 and one offering 25% off the bill. I showed the emails to the waiter as he did not believe me. He knew nothing about these offers. He then took my phone to show the... More

We visited the Honey Bee for an evening meal as two couples and we were greeted warmly and our drinks arrived promptly. However, the food was not so encouraging. One member of the party chose a steak pie, which on inspection contained hardly any steak and another chose a dish with "King Prawns". If the description is in the title,... More

My friend and I met for lunch at the Honey Bee again as I love the warm, friendly interior, lovely staff and good food. My quinoa and edamame salad with an addition of grilled halloumi had a delicious dressing. The coffee was good too and the staff were very friendly.

Have visited The Honey Bee on a number of occasions and have left several reviews, all praising it. We arrived at our pre-booked time of 6.30 on Saturday. The restaurant was already quite busy but staff took the time to make us feel very welcome. Our order was taken quite quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for... More

I've been here a couple of times now and the thing I love the most is that the interior is warm and welcoming and so cosy in winter and the beer garden is large and well tended to and a lovely place to sit in the summer. I wish I could take this pub exactly as it is and place... More

Very busy, the service was fast & efficient by Abbey & John. Boxed camembert to start, vintage beef platter to share and then a peanut butter cheesecake. Portion sizes good and value for money. Made to feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend.
