Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice well run family pub with friendly owners. Fantastic Sunday lunch - with a very generous portion. Also, had a dessert - try the Wagoner Choux Burger. It was absolutely yummy. Very relaxing and at the same time lively. I would highly recommend it!

This Pub has gone downhill the last 6 months. Too many young teens, drug paraphernalia in the toilets and angry men swearing. not a place to take the kids anymore and the owner just appears to turn a blind eye i now whilst drinking with...them and forgetting the advertised family pub. More like a football hooligans paradise with blatant illegal substances being consumed in the toilets. last time ever. I can't comment on the food now but not many people were eating....More

Visited pub after winning a raffle for a family of 4 to have 2 course meal. Arrived with an extra person (nan) expected to pay for the extra person, and the owner came down, wished is a merry Xmas and said they're upping the voucher...from a family of 4 to a family of 5! We were incredibly thankful and will definitely be attending again. Lovely atmosphere with a real log fire and friendly staff. Very impressedMore

I couldn’t recommend The Drill more , we recently hired them for my mums wake and they went above and beyond to help us. It may be a pub but it didn’t feel like that on the day, it felt like we was at someone’s...house .. the landlady Kim done the most beautiful hot and cold buffet which was exceptional and was very important to us that we had the best as our Mum was a caterer so she had high standards. Nothing was too much for Kim and Wayne and there staff they accommodated everyone’s needs with drinks hot and cold and child drinks. There lovely friendly dogs walking about added to the family atmosphere and the child friendly garden for the children to play in so adults could speak. We had use of there projector so that we could show some photos we had of our Mum and they accomadated our wish to play some music that our Mum liked. I have been contacted since by people who attended who complimented us on how lovely it was conducted. They let us make our Mum proud by fulfilling her last wishes and we can’t thank them enough. Please do not hesitate to use this venue for any occasion and thank you to Kim and Wayne and all there staff. From The Kelly FamilyMore

The manager was so lovely, she looked after me when I was very drunk and had been refused by an Uber, she got me water and a chair and I hadn’t even been into the pub. She even offered and gave me a lift home...which she really did not need to do. I can’t thank her enough for getting me home safely. Definitely going to recommend the drill to friends and family.More

Our first visit to a pub since lock-down so we were a bit apprehensive about what to expect. From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic. We were greeted at the door and everything was explained very clearly to us about the new system...that was in place. Very straightforward to order food and drink, either on the app or directly from the bar. Food was first class pub grub. Menu was limited but there was enough choice there to please everyone in our small group. Will certainly be going back there soon. Would recommend.More
