Went with a large group for Christmas lunch. Excellent turkey dinner with plenty of turkey and a good selection of veg. Nice crisp baked potatoes. Followed with Christmas pudding with custard just as it should be. Staff were very friendly and attentive. On arrival the...barmaid was quick to offer drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and would recommend.More

We came to The Grasshopper for a meal and can not fault the place at all, the staff are all accommodating and go above and beyond. The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious, a generous portion, good value for money, lovely lamb, the roast potatoes and...the Gravy are by far the best I have had. (Please let me have your secret recipe for the gravy) such a lovely atmosphere & very welcoming. Also very Dog friendly which is a must for us. The Red Wine went down a treat with our meal. Thank you to all the staff. See you again soon.More

Great place to eat, I come here a lot, alone and with friends. Sunday Roast, with all the trimmings, is an absolute must! The Roast Lamb's delicious, but so is the Chicken and everything else. It's the best pub ever. Friendly and helpful staff. The...Grasshopper on the Green is the best. 😊More

Worst Sunday lunch we've ever had , should call it Sunday soup !! we had between us the chicken lamb and beef and they were terrible !! firstly the so called dinners turned up all drowning in gravy and i mean soup like thick gloopy...gravy that almost covered the entire meal , this was to disguise the fact the food was just plain bad. The so called roast potatoes where just mush the carrots rock hard and inedible and the meats where tough /stringy. When we mentioned how bad this was the waitress just said thats how its done here. It was just rubbish. The desert of sticky toffee pudding was rock had on the bottom half so was inedible and the apple pie and custard was stone cold. The bill was over £200 and 90% of the food was left on the plates. On the way out we noticed we we not alone and lots of empty table with plates full of food left lying around. In summarising this was a complete waste of money and time. Never again will be go to Grasshopper on the Green for Sunday soup sorry i mean Sunday lunch!!More

Lovely late breakfast with a terrific view overlooking the green on a sunny autumnal day. Excellent “full Monty” times four and rated in the top three brunches we have had since our club started. Toast a tad crispy but overlooked as orange juice with a...slice was perfect. We will be back with the dog.More

We had a lovely lunch last Thursday. Six of us enjoyed an excellent meal. My sea bass was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The rest of the family all enjoyed their choices. Compliments to the Chef and we will definitely visit again.

Great pub, relaxing atmosphere with attentive friendly staff. The menu was a mix of proper old fashioned pub grub and a few more modern dishes, definitely enough variety to suit most people. We had the short rib, and steak pie, both of them were absolutely...delicious and piping hot - not boil in the bag, but proper home cooked food and a generous portion. We will be back!More
