Great local traditional pub. Good real ales and good locally sourced food but burnt down in summer 2016 after the upstairs room caught fire so hoping this nice decent little boozer re opens very soon!

Adjacent to the common is this proper English pub. Great for an afternoon or evening drink and really well cooked and presented pub grub. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The staff are happy to help you with a smile and best of all its dog friendly. The breakfast is superb, with proper suasages and bacon...well worth the money. If... More

What a treat to find an independent pub with smiling, friendly staff who made us so welcome!! The waitress even managed to persuade my fussy son to eat his lunch! Lovely homemade food. Really delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The Plough are serving full English breakfasts Thursday to Sunday for £8.00, They are huge! Really delicious and available from 8.30 - 11.30. I had one of their lunch specials this week too £10.95 for two courses. It was really good value and very tasty. I love this pub. Very friendly and traditional.

I was informed that the Plough had started to serve breakfasts from Thursday to Sunday. So with this in mind I strolled down this morning to try one out. I have to say for £8 I had one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long long time. The food was freshly cooked and all sourced from a local... More

We love this place and come a few times a week for drinks. The atmosphere is congenial and locals are so friendly. Bar staff is awesome! It's always busy too. Buddy, the pub dog, is almost always on duty, checking in on customers and occasionally letting you toss his ball. I love that they serve individual cava (Freixnet) and the... More

The Plough has maintained its bar so is still a great place to go for a drink, unlike many others that just want you if you're eating. That's not to say don't eat here, because the food is delicious and home cooked. It's very popular, both as an eatery and pub and the food is very reasonably priced with good... More

Have been a regular visitor the plough for a few months now. It's a proper pub where you can enjoy a drink in a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Or as we have on many occasions have one the best pub meals around. Particularly the Sunday roast my only complaint is there is too much meat! The service is always to a... More

Popped in for casual drink, saw it was steak night (2 steaks and a free bottle of wine for £25) and thought we'd give it a try. Well, what a revelation, best rump steaks we've had for ages. Highly recommended.

We are a village pub that severes good home cooked food, not a restaurant that sells beer.
