This is a great place , located on White Bay and one of the few places which serve dinner. The food here is excellent; fresh seafood is offered, but also burgers. On Thursdays they have sushi, which you must pre-order, so be aware of that. Reservations are recommended- this place gets crowded.

Our group of 6 had a nice meal at Hendo’s Hideout.
The resturant is easily accessible by dingy if moored in White’s Bay or you can take a taxi from Grand Harbor or do a dingy but I think that would be dicey after dark (others may be bigger risk takers - or have a good light and a reliable dingy).
Best to make a reservation for a table for dinner and especially so if you want sushi since they require preorders for that.
Menu had a nice selection of fish and meat dishes and the food is well prepared. Wine list has a good selection.
Meals were a bit on the high side but considering the location, resturant options on White Bay and the quality, it was worth it. We will go back.

We ate here with our friends for a birthday celebration during our stay. The staff are friendly, the night sounds of water breaking the shoreline is peaceful and the food is terrific. One person ordered steak and we literally asked why it was so big. We were impressed! Their lobster is a good selection. The one that was available was 4lbs! One might ask if they only serve huge dishes in this restaurant.
Thank you Ghe and Nicolette. You girls are awesome.
Btw, try a ‘White Boy Wasted’ drink when you are there. It’s nice and cool!

This is our favorite spot for lunch & dinner on Jost Van Dyke. From our first visit in 2016 to this year we have always enjoy our time at Hendo’s. Ehren & Liz are not only great people but they continue to provide the best service, food & drinks on the island. Chef Roger you did not disappoint again. The food was excellent every night. We loved the steaks, lobster ravioli, paradise roll, grilled lobster, pulled pork & as always the best conch fritters anywhere. The staff was wonderful. Thanks to Ghe, Linda, Dorian, Glen & every person that made us feel special. See you soon!

Best brunch in the BVI. Had the most delicious, fresh fish tacos. Yummy! Everything we ordered was fabulous and chef made a special plate of gluten free shrimp tacos for our friend with celiac. Great service, delicious food and amazing view. Can’t go wrong with this place!

We were staying on Jost Van Dyke for 3 days after a week long small ship cruise through the Virgin Islands. We had lunch one day on White Bay beach at Hendo’s and had the best shrimp quesadillas we have ever had. Great beachfront vibe with nice music and the best food we found on the island. Not open every night for dinner—check ahead of time.

After some pre-lunch drinks at the Soggy Dollar, we popped next door to Hendo's for some really great food. Lobster was beautifully cooked and the wraps all tasted lovely as well. All washed down with a glass of nice cold Rose wine.
Couldn't fault it at all, especially when it's on such a lovely beach too !

Hendo’s was an amazing surprise. It’s right on the beach on White Bay but isn’t a typical beach bar.
The lunch menu takes beach fare to a new level. All of the food is top shelf and made fresh. Everyone in our party was blown away by the quality and choices.
The dinner menu is simply amazing! This is no ordinary beach restaurant. The meals that were served are on par with any high end restaurant around the country. We had a group of 10 and every dish came out very well prepared and exceeded our expectations. If you are on Jost Van Dyke this is a must. It’s not the cheapest on the island but it is worth every penny spent!

This was a great stop on our trip. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. We had the conch fritters and plantains for an appetizer and many people loved the fish tacos. Great relaxing environment. Able to play volleyball or bags and enjoy a drink. Highly recommend!

Hendo's is located right next to the Soggy Dollar. They have great food and drinks. There is a merchandise shop in the back of the bar as well as a bathroom. They have great lounge chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost as well as a sand volleyball court. Loved it!

Soggy Dollar is where the cruise ship visitors go, so grab a seat at Hendo's and you won't be sorry.
The drinks are excellent. They can make a wide range of drinks and the painkillers actually have decent rum in them.
The food was excellent. Service was great! Seriously, this is the best on the beach.
You may need a reservation for lunch or dinner.

We have visited and/or stayed on JVD 8 times in the last 10 years, and Hendo's Hideout definitely has the best food and best service on JVD. The lobster benny and bottomless mimosas at Sunday brunch will be the best part of your trip. Lunch and dinner, when available, are also unbelievable. Andrea, Avery, Frank, and the entire staff are fantastic. Highly recommend!!

For many years we have visited next-door ( Soggy Dollar Bar) Because I was sailing with five people who had never been to Jost I felt obligated to show them Sogys for a pain killer. I have to say that things were a bit out of hand.
So we walked next door to Hendos on the advice of Greg our taxi driver who happens to be Foxys son. It was a much more chill atmosphere , food was good service was great and much more relaxing.

We arrived on a boat and decided this had the variety we were looking for and they asked us to wait a little so the group played volleyball while we waited. I had to go up twice to inquire about our table because we arrived via boat and were on the clock. Once we got seated, the wait staff paid no attention to us. I had to go up to him to get him to take our order. We then waited forever to get our food which had me telling him that if it didn’t come out pronto we needed our check for the one drink order he took and needed to get back on our boat. He said it was being played and still took an additional 20 minutes to come out. The poor other waiter started waiting on us because he felt so bad. The food was good but he literally cut an hour out of our boat time for snorkeling because he just did not know how to manage our very easy table. Will never waste my time there again.

Excellent evening at Hendo’s, as usual! My husband and I have been dining at Hendo’s every year when we visit Jost over the past 8 years. Every meal we have been served is exceptional. The ambience is perfect with steel drums playing live in the background and the lights on the boats in the bay twinkling in the ocean, it’s just a perfect setting.
I had the stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon and my husband had the tuna special caught today. Both were outstanding!
The waitstaff is very friendly and extremely efficient. Excellent service.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
