Great setting in a idealistic spot under the pear tree of course, and a cold beer on a hot day overlooking the bay with ducks , geese n seagulls it was so tranquil but only had a cold beer.

Great location for a rendezvous lunch with outside tables on a shaded verandah. Lots of parking The original pear tree is still growing in the car park The service was a bit slow but it was Waitangi Day and everything slows down on a Kiwi holiday Food was tasty with a good selection Recommended

We have been to the Pear tree cafe on and off for the last few years. Have never had a bad meal until last Sunday. The fish was not fresh, the salad was completely flavourless, the Caesar dressing had no taste, the chips weren't cooked properly etc. I don't think there was anything on the plate that was acceptable. We... More

Popped in here for a drink on a sunny Friday afternoon. Timed it perfectly as it was happy hour! We ordered the house beer and white wine, and a plate of wedges. Excellent value for money. Sat outside and enjoyed the view of the Stone Store. Staff were very friendly, and we LOVED the live acoustic guitarist. Perfect place to... More

As we only dropped in for coffee which was great, I cant really say much. The young man who waited our table was lovely as was the coffee.

We were taken here by a local friend; despite the dreary weather the outlook was lovely. The service was fair, with some issues in translation with one of the wait staff for whom English was a second language. The food was well priced and the servings are very generous. We each had a burger (fish, beef and chicken) and there... More

The location is stunning!! Inside or outside seating right on the lake front. Outside furniture is definitely in need of attention. Old and rickety. The staff are friendly and attentive. However the food was a bit of a let down on the particular day we went. Hope it improves as it could be a 5 star review next time.

We met here on a for morning tea. We sat outside under the trees and enjoyed coffee and cakes. The basin area is very peaceful and we had a pleasant view of the river and Stone store. It made us happy to see that the famous pear tree is still growing strongly and still producing fruit a nice touch to... More

Dropped in here last minute when we were staying in KeriKeri. Found it by accident by trying to find some water to look at! What a stunning location down by the water. Had a lovely well cooked steak. All the courses were very pleasant and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. Highly recommend a visit to this place!
