What a gorgeous setting. The food was wonderful. The service was lovely - very homely. The wine is stunning of course. Cant wait to go back

The food and setting far outweighed the lacklustre service. BEWARE: when we left there was a police roadblock demanding a breathalyzer. Luckily I passed but it was nerve wracking.

Precede your meal with a tasting so you can match a wine to it. Seating for the restaurant is under a pergola covered in grapevines adding to a subtle and calm environment, the meals live up to the preceding beautiful aromas coming from the kitchen. Take an hour or so to enjoy the total experience.

Celebrating a birthday lunch recently, this was an ideal location for us. The service was excellant as were the wines. The meal size was small for the large price tag. Comparing to other eateries, we estimate the price could have been halved. The kicker that will not see us return too soon was the Vietnamese Chicken Salad. Very light on the... More

Good interesting food, portions still small, but well prepared and happy to return. Wine from same vintage does em to vary but they do have some excellent ones. Service excellent.

Today I and two friends had lunch at Marsden Estate for the first time. The food was gorgeous... We ordered fish of the day and the Duck dish. Just beautiful. The desserts were divine too. Staff just lovely, Tranquil surroundings and staff very helpful. Definitely will go there again...and again. Highly recommend this gorgeous place. `Andrea

We'd been for a tasting previously but hadn't stopped for a bite to eat. So on a second visit we stayed and discovered the anti pasto platter, which was heavenly. We sat down at the river and savoured the food, views and a glass or two of their finest. A magical experience with knowledgable, witty staff. Just marvellous.

This was our first winery in New Zealand and we could not have picked a better place. The prices are really affordable and the wine is yummy, we took a sparkling rose home with us. It's very chill and such a friendly environment!
