We began the New Year with dinner at Local Roots, which we've visited several times before and have never been disappointed. The menu differs by the season since produce and food are locally sourced. I started with the soup du jour followed by a delicious...More

The bar menu is a little less expensive - but the hamburger is one of the best in Roanoke. The regular menu varies, but it's not cheap. They organize their menu by size of appetite. The medium appetite items average $7-11. The larger appetite menu items go up to $30. I'm a petite gal with a medium appetite, so I usually order from that side or two of the appetizers (which are always excellent and not FRIED), for around $20.
