It was ok. Not a great looking place. Ok food. It is fine if you are in the area. Not worth the trip. If you are in the area at dinner time.

Found this place on a small flyer. Took the 15 minute drive down 11 to find it in the dark. SO GLAD WE DID. The place is quaint with a beautiful christmas village on the front porch. Inside, the decor is authentic German. The staff are German and the food....wow.... Beer is served in Oktoberfest steins - they had Dinckelacker!!!... More
Fine German food served with a table top full of shared sides. Between the main entree and the sides there is enough food for 4 in a serving for two. Everyone left with a take out box with leftovers.
I wanted to have some German food to remind me of my grand mother. This hit home, the food was very good and some I had before and some I haven't. Everything was very good the service was very good, reasonably priced for the food. Live music was there on Friday, that was good to experience. I hope you enjoy... More
Authentic food and atmosphere, good value for the cost, wide selection of German brews, and the service was exceptional. Live German music topped off the experience.
I'm not the biggest fan of German food but enjoyed our visit to this little restaurant just off of highway 81. Had some sort of rolled beef, was very good. Several people in our group got the special of stuffed cabbage which seemed pretty spicy to me. They serve beer and wine also. We stopped in late on a Tuesday... More
We were headed north from 64 on 81 but rerouted to eat here first. I am of German decent and my mother made many of the dishes that they served here. The food to me had the authentic German taste that I was used to. I had the beef rouladen and loved it. Others in my party ordered the sampler,... More
I have traveled to Germany on numerous occasions. The food is very traditional and authentic. They have a good selection of German draft beer. All of the food and service we received was awesome. Highly recommended and close to I-81.
Yes, we should have headed North on 81, but we decided to go south a bit when 64 intersected 81 just to go to Edelweiss. Well worth the ten minutes! Family style German food. Loved the weiner schnitzel. Great service and huge portions. We will go south to go north again.
A bit of a drive for the locals, but well worth it and a nice stop off 81. A very standard idea of what a "German" restaurant should look like; lots of dark wood, steins, German language TV and what I guess some would consider "kitsch". Ordered the 5 dish sampler as always; comes with a family style service of... More
