In town for the weekend and wanted to try something new. My son wanted to try some Irish fare. We found the ad for Murphy's in the hotel and figured we'd give it a try. My wife is disabled and has a service dog. They accommodated us with no issues. The staff was wonderful and made sure to be cafe... More

Went here Christmas Evening with the family and everyone left happy. We ordered Irish meat and potato pie, corned beef with cabbage, fish tacos, and a burger with salad. Fresh veggies came with the 2 Irish meals and cottage fries (really, good slabs of potato) with the burger. The tuna for the tacos was cooked rare as asked. The 20-minute... More

This was the second time we had eaten here when visiting VA Beach. The location id=s very convenient, the restaurant itself a bit eclectic. But the food excels. Fresh, well conceived, great taste, and large portions. The Irish Stew was filled with vegetables cooked perfectly, the meat very tender, and the broth was outstanding. Wife had the fish and chips.... More

We pulled into Murphy's on a blustery rainy day, so of course, we ordered soup. My husband got the house special, she crab soup. It was cream-based, and one of the best crab soups he's had. I ordered a fish/clam chowder with bacon and potatoes, which was also good. We also ate fish and chips and fried oysters. Both did... More

For starters, we certainly did not intend to have a family Thanksgiving dinner at an Irish Pub. However, our original plans did not work out and Murphy's was one of the few places serving Thanksgiving meals at 3 pm. Apparently, the 'Luck of the Irish' was with us! We got a nice table next to a roaring fire - what... More

Pub atmosphere which was very welcoming. Burgers and fish and chips were very good. Irish fare was not as good as I had expected from a good Irish pub. Service was attentive and very good.

They had a real fire burning for us. The Irish meat pie was excellent. The burgers were grilled on charcoal and very good. We enjoyed good service and caught several football games on the TV's.
