It is always a nice environment for brunch. The restaurant looks like a house and the staff treats you like you are at home. The food is yummy and so are the blood marys!

I can't tell you how many places serve a great breakfast here and have been on Diners Drive-ins, and Dives....and they are terrific...but their coffee is so weak and bland tasting that I have had to stop ordering it with my breakfast. I am getting charged $2.50 for a cup of nasty brew that I can't stand so I wait... More

I'm not a breakfast person so I eat brunch. This was good brunch food. I had a burger and I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much but it was good!

The buffet at the hotel was very poor, so we went looking. Found a nice diner on 35th & Atlantic, but the best place was Doc Taylor's. With a fireplace & mantle in what clearly was once somebody's living room, this converted beach house is a gem. Fast, friendly service, and good food. My biscuit & gravy was great, and... More

OK, I'll probably get in trouble for this one. This is a local's hangout, that doesn't even have a sign out front. It is next to Tautogs on 23rd Street between Atlantic and Pacific. If tourists start showing up, I guess I am to blame. We stopped in for breakfast recently, and the food was great. I got eggs benedict... More

We had a great breakfast of organic eggs, pancakes, good coffee and fresh fruit in this converted beach house. Very busy, probably very popular with locals. The staff was very friendly.

We were a party of 6 and needed to wait about 20 min to be seated. Once we were seated there were plenty of empty tables so not sure why the long wait. However the food and service once seated were great. Everyone's food arrived exactly as ordered and tasted delicious. Our waiter Austin was really good. We will be... More

We went for breakfast and looked to see who had great food doc taylor's came up a lot. I had fried eggs with hash browns, bacon & rye toast. Most of the reviews were spot on even to the point that the toast was not very toasted. It's true the toast was just heated up very good rye bread not... More

Went to Doc Taylor's with friends for a late breakfast. Finding the spot and the entrance was a bit difficult, since there are no very large signs outside the door. However the place was worth the effort of search. Typical American breakfast was on the menu, but also some more healthy options like granolas or oatmeals. The place is very... More
