My wife and I had lunch here the other day and were very impressed. She had the Beef Au Jus and said it should have been served with a spoon because the au Jus was more like gravy than broth and was excellent. I had the Muffaletta which was huge. I ordered the half, as our waitress suggested, but it... More

Chili dog was very mediocre, shame! Pizza was average, beer choices were good. Nice atmosphere, took a long time to be served (25 minutes). Shame, nice location and setting, but very average food.

After discovering that Claire's was fully booked, my friend suggested that we give the Black Bear a try. It is a quaint restaurant on the main street on the historic downtown. They had a few tables free at about 1:20pm and we had our pick. Our server was very nice and didn't crowd us. We shared an order of garlic... More

The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all enjoyable. If you're visiting Warrenton (which I recommend), this is a great place for lunch or dinner.

My wife and I were out on a weekend drive and found this place on Main Street in Warrenton along with other quint little shops. The atmosphere was good and reflected the nice small town. Bar-type food was fine and more than I expected with oysters on the menu, fried just right. Lots of different hot dog dishes, some with... More

In town just for the night, SO found this place. First seated us at table in front of restaurant-too cold with the draft, so we asked if we could sit at the warmer bar, they said sure, then bartender asked our son if he was 21-no. So he said sorry, DMV says can't sit at the bar. So we politely... More

I had been expecting more based on other reviews. The atmosphere was nice; we sat on the deck. The staff was very friendly. The food was mediocre. We both ordered burgers cooked medium. They both arrived well done and the fries had been cooked at least twice before they arrived at our table. We will try another spot next time... More

Looking for a place to eat at 8pm on a Friday evening and was able to get seated quickly. I have the shrimp & scallops etouffee , it was very good & very filling . My wife had the French dip & fries . The sandwich was great , the fries a little overdone, but all in all and good... More

The restaurant provides a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. If you feel like sitting on the back porch, you will get a nicely shaded area to have lunch. If you feel like a more secluded place, there is a small bar in the basement and just in the other room a brick oven pizza place. One of my favorite places... More

With several seating options there are plenty of ambience venues. Have a romantic, cozy dinner downstairs in the stone walled section, or bistro-like cafe seating upstairs. There are four bars to choose from, one being outside. Everything is good. Beware, unfortunately smoking is aloud outside on the back porch.
