Actually had a nice dinner with my wife, sat near the fireplace on New Year's Eve. We had a wonderful dinner and a couple drinks. Was a nice friendly relaxing place to go and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service.

I had not had fried green tomatoes since I was a kid, and these were absolutely great. Ate downstairs where the stone walls and fireplace provided a warm, pleasant environment.

In town for business, was encouraged to have dinner at Black Bear. Nice location in historical district. Quickly seated, fast service, good food. The hard cider on tap was like drinking rose water, delicious.
