It has been awhile since I last visited this restaurant and decided to go back along with friends. The quality of food is not what it used to be. They have a wide selection of food on the menu and I'm not sure if they have perfected everything they had to offer. I tried the daily special " homemade turkey... More

What a pleasant surprise in a historic city near the Blue Ridge Mountains. It has a traditional, warm and quaint feel to it (both the city and the restaurant). The service was prompt and friendly and the food came out quickly. The menu choices included both meat and vegetarian options and they had just enough choices to satisfy any palette.... More

We stayed in a nearby B&B and the owners pointed us to this place. The menu was eclectic, appealing and more robust than I was expecting for a town this size. We started with the shrimp stuffed hush puppies and you could tell they were made on-site (totally yummy). My husband got the shrimp and grits and I got a... More

The French onion soup was very good. The shrimp stuffed hush puppies were very large and tasty. The catfish po boy could have had more flavor and fish...not exactly what I would consider a po boy but rather a fish sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was average. The fries are supposedly hand cut with some sort of coating applied but... More

Staff was inexperienced, but attentive and tried hard. The food was so-so. I asked for unsalted fries with my seafood combination platter. The fries were heavily salted and lukewarm, at best. Our server offered another side and I selected the wilted spinach with garlic. Too bad the garlic was nearly raw. There seems to be a New Orleans theme to... More

My husband have been here twice for dinner, and both times it was delicious! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the second time we went, we both felt the food and service were just not quite as spectacular as it had been the first time. If there was a 4.5, that would probably be the... More
