This place is pretty upscale, so it's always a little rough when one of my friends says they want to go there for a birthday dinner. What usually happens in these situations is that everyone orders a side of mac and cheese and the birthday girl/boy gets something nice (because it's free). As a vegetarian, options are pretty limited. As... More
This is our second visit to Blue Talon for dinner in the past 12 months; we have also been several times for lunch. This recent dinner, we had mussels to start, meatloaf, and salmon. The mussels were small and not great. I would not order this again. The meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and green beans, was excellent with a... More
The Blue Talon Bistro provided our small group with a wonderful dining experience. Not heavy on the atmosphere, but makes up for any lacking in that area with great service and a varied selection of entrees. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very attentive, without being intrusive. I had, and really enjoyed the pork schnitzel. The restaurant is... More
had to wait a bit but WELL worth it, amazing service; thank you so much to DENISE, we just loved her, very courteous and efficient, even got us whipped cream for our blackberry cobbler - over and above service... my burger with no bun over salad was fantastic and I get that alot of places, my friends meals were all... Wonderful night ! I highly recommend. Each of us had a different entree and they were all delicious. Salmon, pot roast, short ribs special, scallops and shrimp tortellini. If you like scallops- that's the dish to get. The chocolate moose is scooped from a huge bowl and a chocolate lovers dream. The other desserts were outstanding- even the oatmeal raisin... More
I've been here many times previously and really enjoyed it but this time was very different. Although the service was courteous and attentive, the SMOKED FISH REUBEN SANDWICH WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL. The bread was soggy. It was not grilled as advertised. It seemed to have been toasted, pre-assembled and re-heated (microwaved?) instead of grilled to order.
Very quaint, small little bistro that serves excellent food! We ordered the crepes and they were the best we have ever eaten!!! All the options were great! Highly recommend!
My husband and I ate a late lunch at this restaurant on January 23, 2017. We did not have a reservation and were seated right away. The service was good. For beverages, one of us had water and the other had coffee. The server filled our beverage glasses often. My husband ordered macaroni and cheese with shaved ham - absolutely... More
We went to Blue Talon for my wife's birthday dinner ... and what a treat it was. The atmosphere was a "bistro" atmosphere which is what we wanted ... something less formal. Our appetizers, entrees and dessert (creme brulee) were all fantastic.' Blue Talon exceeded our expectations, we left happy and filled with wonderful taste treats. Too many items on... More

We are visiting Williamsburg and would like to have dinner at the Blue Talon for my husband's 70th bday. I think about the delicious breast of duck dinner I have eaten at your restaurant and have been waiting to be in town again to get it. I noticed your menu indicates you only served this dinner on Tuesdays. Is this correct? We are going to be in town for a Tuesday dinner. Please let me know if you can serve this dinner on Nov 19? Thanks, Gail Chmura
Do I need reservations for morning breakfast or brunch on Friday, May 20? I know the area will be busy w families of graduates.
