Dinner for four, anniversary dinner visiting from a Florida. . Found a booth for privacy, most were near entrance hallway. Noise in main dining was excessive. Service and attention to detail was exceptional. Brought our own special wine, decanted perfectly. Four main dinners with different steaks, two were great, two were above average. Guess for the price I expectled all... More

First time eating here, everything from the amuse-bouche, the 3 kinds of table salt, to excellent wine list, to excellent entrees was exactly as I'd hoped. My only (slight) disappointment was the sommelier, who basically said everything I asked about was showing well. We went with a 2014 Cab that really needed another couple of years to be showing at... If you like a steak dinner - this is a must eat at place if you are in Seattle/Bellevue. Very professional service, a menu of many steaks, and a never-ending wine list. I enjoyed my meal, but the final price was a bit steep.

Not even close to worth the price for the steaks we had. El Gaucho is much better and less expensive

Popped in on Saturday afternoon for cocktails and a snack. They have a great happy hour menu with good cocktails and a large variety of dishes. Shared the fried Brussels sprouts and tenderloin bites. The happy hour Manhattan was really good. We got there at 3:30 and it was pretty busy.

When my wife and I are in Belleview, we always make it to John Howie. I used Open Table and recommend it as this place can get busy very quickly. This is a very high end steak house, so expect to spend some $$$. We had the American Wagu, but they also serve Australia and Japanese. It was great and... More

The meat was succulent. Indeed a bit pricy but that is probably worth it. Good wine list as well. Encourage to go there.

We were a party of 14 seated with reservations at 7:45pm this past Monday evening (Nov 7, 2016). They are apparently known for their beef, which you can select from American, Australian and Japanese. Wide range of prices and selections. You can get 4oz each of 4 types of wagyu steak for $255. Or a 28 day aged filet mignon... More

Firstly the venue layout and decor I love it has a real upmarket contemporary feel. The butternut soup complimentary was delicious. I had the ribeye to be honest there was not a drop of steak juice oozing out of it and so appeared on the dry side. It remained that way until I finished it. Maybe it's the way I... More

Description
John Howie Steak - a downtown Bellevue favorite. Located in the Bravern near 405 (freeway) off of 8th Ave. A great happy hour with a near famous cheeseburger, bar and lounge open till 11pm or midnight. Fine dining in the dining room. Lunch is quite reasonable ($12-$15 entreees) and delicious. Premium steakhouse for lunch meetings, dates or of course any occasion for dinner. Private dining rooms available as well. Catering available. A fine dining restaurant with more casual options for lunch, happy hour, the bar and lounge.
