There is nothing flashy or pretentious about St. John, located about 20 miles south of the Yakima Reservation, on US-97, and if you don't know about it, you might miss it racing up or down the highway. But once you discover it, you'll return for...More

Such simple, delicious Greek food - in the middle of nowhere!! We love the hummus and pita. The tzatziki sauce is perfect. Lots of good baklava too.

The bakery had all sorts of Greek food and pastries. Some dishes are prepared for you to take home--such as lentil soup. However, my favorite was the selection of prayer ropes. Each is hand made--a series of unique knots--to be carried in hand or pocket....More

If you're travelling through southern Washington on Highway 97, be sure to stop here. Now! The gyros are delicious. The grilled pita with some hummus is great. The baklava may have you thinking of a religious conversion.

This little bakery was recommended by my campground host. He was only wrong on one little detail - he told me they took all the calories out of the pastries. I tried the baklava and it was amazing - just oozing with honey and the...More

This is a great place to stop for bakery and coffee. It has a small gift shop as well. The staff is great and helpful. It's an interesting place to say the least. Well worth a rest stop on your journey.

I didn't see any indication of public wifi. There is a local wifi network that serves the monastery, but it has no public access.
