Cap'n Yoby's is a local legend due to their hand cut batter dipped halibut fish & chips. We always make certain to visit when in Kelso, WA. We know friends and family who stock up and freeze these to take home so they can savor...More

They have the best halibut fish and chips in the county! Some people come from different cities and counties just for their fish and chips. They are YUMMMY!

Stopped in while travelling from Portland to Seattle. Had great expectations but they were not met at all. Halibut Fish n Chips: frozen halibut so not very juicy, batter was really thick and soaked up plenty of grease (fryer oil), peeled most of it off...More

A local fast food joint, not much else to say. Prices are a little high for the type of food served and not much of a menu. Service took awhile because the place gets so busy and there aren't many people working behind the counter.

Went in there one time, about half an hour before closing. The person behind the counter handed us a menu, then when we tried to order told us "the grill is already closed." Left the restaurant, and never went back.

Cap'n Yoby's is very popular with the locals. I did not grow up and am not sure what all the fuss. I think they have decent fish and chips, but I think it is somewhat overpriced. Not exactly in a user-friendly spot. I prefer Nips...More

What can I say? The title gives it away. People drive from all over the region just for Cap-n-Yoby's HALIBUT fish and chips with their secret tarter sauce. The tarter sauce is so good-and popular that the Cap'n now sells it. My wife and 5...More
