Full disclosure: I own 3 barbecue grills and I cook a lot of barbecue. Even so, I was most pleased to find Gabriel's Fire about a block from my house. This is the real deal barbecue and they don't try to do anything else. I've eaten their beef, chicken and pork and I have had a few of their many... More

So if you love bbq you will love Gabriel's. It is hands down the best bbq on the west side i could even argue the state. They know bbq and they do it best. You don't win best bbq 4 years in a row if you're not the best and they are. Quite relaxed atmosphere with good beers on tap... More

I stopped in for a weekday lunch to a near empty house. I ordered the 1/3 brisket and a ½ pound of ribs with a side of French fries. The order came up quickly and the portion size was perfect for lunch. The very tender meats had a great amount of infused smoke and both were nicely seasoned. The only... More

Forget famous dave's, if you want real bbq (the brisket literally sells out nightly), hit them up. If parking lot is full, plenty of street parking. Oh and try the gumbo.

The flavors are fantastic at this small place. Highest quality meats. Great choice of sauces and side dishes. Prices are on the higher side but worth every penny!

Ok if Gabriel's ever decided to relocate..COME TO BELLINGHAM!! LOVE this place. Small inside but who cares about that when the BBQ is so damn good! Brisket is cooked to perfection. There are different sauces you can choose from, I really like the kc, jerk if I'm in the mood for extremely hot (and I know hot). Prices amaze me... More

This is a good bbq place for take out. The ambiance is meh, not a lot of parking, they don't have Mac and Jack, and if Monty is busy he can be short with you, kind of the bbq nazi, but the stuff they pull out of the smokers is delicious. I always get the pulled pork sandwich, with regular... More

There isn't much of a BBQ scene in Washington State but these guys do it right. From Carolina to Kansas City to Mustard or Georgia. The sides are great too! Try a The Earl of Cheese or a Pauline - you won't regret it!

My friend just got a new position at The U so we went here to celebrate. The draught beer was excellent, just cool enough. We beef brisket, ribs, cole slaw, salad with a citrus dressing, and Texas egg shells(potato skins stuffed with pulled pork) and three sauces. No problem with sharing dishes or sauces. Every thing was so tasty with... More
