We were driving through Olympia on our anniversary so decided to find a good place to eat. Found this little gem on Trip Advisor and made reservations. The ambience was great, we felt welcome and comfortable from the minute we walked in the door. The dinner specials our server listed off all sounded wonderful. I don't think you could go... More

After saying over and over I have to try this place....I made it happen. My wife and I had a "grown up" evening enjoying dinner without littlins. Enjoyed the cured meats and cheese antipasto as well as prawns, calamari and scallops appetizer. My wife had the seafood pasta and I took on the pasta with pork, shallots, mushrooms in a... More

After our summer 2016 visit to Milan, we went here for a special occasion. Food and atmosphere was good, but nothing special, especially for the price.

We dined here some years ago and enjoyed it very much. This time we were staying nearby so we went again. Enjoyed it as much. Pasta was very good, done they way we prefer, al dente. Portions are generous, and for us another meal. Wine list is extensive and wines by the glass are fine. Very Italian, as we like.

Basilico is a delightful find in downtown Olympia. It is easy to overlook but well-worth the discovery. Allow yourself a good two-hour stay, in order to enjoy a good Italian wine, the arrival of several courses of food, and a leisurely dessert and good coffee. The menu is diverse and authentic and your host will make sure your dinner is... More

I reserve Basilico for the two times per month that I work extra long hours in Olympia. The entire dining experience is unmatched and its flavors and qualities exceed that of 'Little Italy' neighborhood offerings between Boston or San Diego. If I could take up residence there, I would! It feels like family and friends there, and you will be... More

The chocolate mousse is devine, beautiful presentation and a surprise bite to it. The rest of the meal was good, but not up to its reputation. I was excited to be invited here as a guest and a tad disappointed. Wait persons were more than attentive, explained dishes as needed. All were super.

My husband and I just returned from Italy and were wanting traditional Italian. We found it. Great food, nice ambience, good staff. Owner came to our table, very personable and Italian! Had my Vin Santo- my favorite Italian desert!

Basilico is not a Spaghetti Factory or any other American hybrid. This is the real thing. Delicious food with a broad menu and a great selection of Italian wine. And bring an appetite because they offer a feast.

It was a wonderful experience. Portions were small, but plentiful as they were filling. Wine selections by the owner were wonderful. We bought several of them. Every course was perfectly prepared and delicious. Chef Selections were great. I'll certainly go to their next one.
