We arrived early for our reservation and were seated in a timely fashion. The service was attentive and the bar served us one of the best old fashions we have had in a while. Both appetizers and main courses nicely presented and tasty. We will return.

The wife and I shared a great happy hour meal here yesterday. Great service, nice atmosphere, and yummy food. My favorite was the chickpea frittes. My wife liked the polenta. My only regret was not ordering the Brussel sprouts appetizer - it looked and smelled amazing.

Loved this restaurant! The ingredients were fresh. The menu was innovative and tasty. The sauce the calamari is in is undoubtedly the best I have ever had. I would love to have that recipe! The lamb chops are small but packed with flavor. The service was helpful and friendly.

My family dined at Primo Grill last night, and it was great! I had the pork chop, and it had the most delicious, smoky flavor. My husband had the chicken and enjoyed it very much. The kids had spaghetti and pizza. In lieu of a kid's menu, they will make any pizza or pasta into a kid size serving. The... More

My wife and I visited on a Saturday street parking - had reservations and was seated right away. The service was prompt and friendly. My wife had the salad, spaghetti, and custard. I had the salad, king salmon and the strawberry, rhubarb. Food was great and an enjoyable experienced. Relaxed. Would go again.

Love Primo. Love the food, the servers, and the owners! The food is fresh, farm to table when possible, and the atmosphere is always fun. Great, great place.

We had dinner this last weekend at Primo in their new location. It was a very difficult evening. Let's start with the good part. Decidedly smaller, the new space is a bit plain in comparison to their former location around the corner yet laid out well with high ceilings. It was full of seemingly happy folks noshing on food with... More

Our first visit since the move...as usual parking can be an issue and the new site seemed noisier. The same great food and service though. We were there for an early dinner so waitress suggested we sit in the bar area and could order off the Happy Hour menu (can also order from the regular dinner menu) We started with... More

We eat there on annual visits to Tacoma/University Place. Primo has moved to larger but noiser, busier space. We sat at the counter facing the grill. Fascinating. Anything on polenta is excellent, as are glazed pork chops.I tend to repeat rather than venture. Others say their food is equally good. Desserts are just as well done and I don't have... More

Had a great meal here with friends. Pasta dishes are imaginative with high quality ingredients. Local sources for everything is an emphasis and creative recipes are the norm. Not a place to go if you are on a budget however. Service is attentive and skillful and both owners are on site. Full bar with craft cocktails plus nice wine list.
