We've been eating at Ruby & Ketchy's since the 1970s and found the best local food there. Nothing fancy but never a bad meal either.

We particularly like their hot roast beef sandwich. One of the few places where you can get them and they use "real" beef roast, not deli meat. They also have an excellent hot turkey sandwich with "real" roasted turkey. Haven't every had anything bad.

We visited Ruby and Ketchy's about half an hour before close and were quickly seated. Our waitress seated two other families after us despite there being only five minutes until close! I ordered a simple grilled cheese sandwich and french fries while my boyfriend ordered a meatloaf which was the day's special. My grilled cheese was delicious and the fries,... More

I was a little disappointed with this place. It is a cute down-home diner that seems like it hasn't changed much over the years. I really enjoyed the honey dipped fried chicken, but the side salad was just iceberg and prepackaged dressing, and the bread that comes with meals is simply sliced bread. The desserts are pretty good though. Overall,... More

Classic diner food. Warm atmosphere. Nothing fancy in this restaurant but then, if you were wanting fancy, you wouldn't be here in the first place. This is the place for those wanting to relive the past where good food, fair prices and friendly people go to eat.

Cute little down home diner with old time charm. The prices are low and the portions are good, but the quality of the food leaves more to be desired. The fried chicken however, is fantastic! If you're going to stop in, either get the fried chicken, or just a slice of pie. Don't get a side salad though, it's just... More

We had a group of 5 for breakfast Sunday morning after a Mountaineer's game. We thought it would be crowded, but we got right in. We tried a little bit of everything on the breakfast menu, it was all pretty good (hotcakes, sausage and ham were the best) at good pricing. It seemed like most of the staff were relatives... More

Six of us had breakfast here on a Friday morning. They were moderately busy when we got there, but we were able to move a of couple tables so we could all sit together. While a bit harried, our server was pleasant and checked on us frequently. Not every place has buckwheat pancakes, so I ordered them with a side... More

Downhome cooking diner. Homemade pies, homemade, hot roast beef sandwiches, homemade soups, homemade chili. We make our own salads, hot and cold sandwiches. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. and continues until 11:30 am. We close at 8 pm. Specials everyday include meatloaf and mashed potatoes, homemade potato soup and grilled cheese, soup beans and cornbread, salmon cakes and macaroni and cheese. Great good - best prices around!!!!
