North woods bar with good food. Friendly local establishment with normal beers available and familiar food - burgers mostly with fish fry on Fridays. Easy laid back pub can be busy at weekends.

A classic northern pub with all the aesthetics you expect such as pine walls, pine tables, a classic bar with stools, and booths. The walls are adorned wtih whitetail deer mounts, and lots of old neon beer signs. They have a back kitchen that serves very good pub food including Friday fish fries, various chicken dishes, some good chile, and... More
Very nice place for some casual food and drinks. Friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. Located right downtown so its easy to find.
Food is great and a lot of it. Came for fish fry and it was excellent. The staff is the best. They are friendly and attentive. Get there early as this place fills up fast.

Our party of 7 arrived at 5:15 pm for the fish fry. We tried perch, cod, walleye, and baked cod. Everyone was happy with their dinner. This place used to be The Black Bear for the past 50 years. The new owners cleaned it up and have fast friendly service.
