I had heard about this place from friends and it didn't disappoint for entertainment and a good drink. Walk around and read all the signs and funny quotes people have written everywhere. Also check out the bathroom... lol

Found this on a recent trip to Madeline Island. How absolutely quirky and interesting. Not quite in keeping with other aspects of the island culture I would say.

If you love a bohemian atmosphere with a cast of characters and unique venue Tom's is for you. It is on Madeleine island just a short walk from the ferry. It was originally a small café that caught fire and burned to the ground. Tom bought it and brought it back to life as a minimalist reincarnation of the burned... More

A trip to Madeline Island just isn't complete without a stop at this watering hole. Pet friendly and people friendly.

When you wait in line at the bar for 20+ minutes to get a drink, you better order more than 1. :-) There are certainly enough humorous signs to read while you are waiting. This is a must on the list to experience in La Pointe on Madeline Island.

This bar was a fun place. It is so unique in its own way. Be prepared to be outside, but thats what makes unique and fun. Be sure to stop and have a cold one.

I love coming here. I feel chill and good hanging out. The bartenders are usually friendly enough and usually add to the laid back bar scene that I enjoy. This place is nothing fancy but is a great place to hang out, maybe talk to some locals, get a good or crappy drink, and catch some sun in an island... More

Yes it's true. There really are no walls. It's just under some makeshift tent material. There's a lot of tourists drinking here, just to say they've been here. I didn't find anything about it that would make me want to stay and drink and hang out. In fact, there are very few places to sit. I just found it uncomfortable... More
