I agree, the staff is nice (hospitable) and the food is good (nourishing, well prepared, creative, and The noise comes from the generally happy patrons who fill our Pub for all of the above reasons as well as our most excellent beers. Yes, the Holiday Inn (motel) is just north from us, across 9th Street. Thanks for coming by! Everyone... More

Pretty busy night Dec 26. We walked from nearby so parking was not our concern. Found a tall table ok, which was adequate for 2 of us. Prefer booth, but those were all full. Service was quick, friendly and adequate. Both had Scotch ale, very tasty, heavy duty (good), but could not really pick out the scotch as I have... More

Glad you stopped by for sandwiches and some of our Scotch ale. We try hard to serve our patrons hospitably and quickly. I do have to admit that some of our food might make your internist a bit queasy but you can always eat "healthy" at home! Actually we do try to provide everyone with as much healthy food as... More

It is nice to see a place like this in a town like Marshfield that, in my opinion, has a population generally lacking in culture. This place is an island of refuge. I was here for a business meeting with a customer and it was a great experience. I will be back.

Ordered the Elk burger, super tasty. The staff was nice and they had a good selection of food. Some of the items on the menu are pricey but I would definitely go back when I'm in town.

Stopped for a late lunch/early dinner. The craft beers are nice and they normally have 5 - 8 different varieties of beer available from light to very dark beer. The Reuben sandwich was OK nothing special but nothing bad either. It came with a cup of very good soup. The "grown-up" mac and cheese was also OK certainly not bad... More

Blue Heron has a wide range of brews, plus some very delicious food. We tried two appetizers - the Fried Brie bites and fried pickles. The Brie Bites were morsels of Brie cheese dredged in breadcrumbs and deep fried, served with slices of green apple and baguette and sauce. YUM! The fried pickles where sliced lengthwise, batter dipped and fried,... More

Ame food. Great atmosphere!! Its also great for when you've got your children with. Because its a louder place to begin with. So your children's crying doesn't disrupt the peace. But if you are trying to have a conversation, its a bit hard to hear your friends. Otherwise great place all around.

Really cool brew pub atmosphere. I got the duck strips, didn't think they were great; the smoked wings were very good but so rich it's hard to eat many of them. The light honey beer wasn't really my style but that might just be me. Overall a fun place though.

Michael, glad you enjoyed your visit to the Blue Heron BrewPub! We try and offer something for everyone to enjoy on our menu of food and craft beers (all brewed here by our brewer, Ron). Next time you visit, try Hub City Lager or our Smoked beer with the wings. The duck strips are one of my favorites but I... More

Jim715, I am glad you enjoyed your visit to the Blue Heron BrewPub. While I, myself, was raised in an area of the country that did not offer "fish fry", customers tell me that our fish fry is excellent and I have come to like the "fish tacos" we offer every Saturday! I can vouch for our handcrafted microbrews. Ron... More

As an owner and manager of a restaurant, I value a customer's opinion and critique of my business. Your rambling and disjointed comments presented such a garbled picture that I must ask the following questions: What time of day did you eat? Did you eat upstairs or downstairs? What did you have? Who was your server? Practices and food can... More

Description
Blue Heron BrewPub and The Oven above the Pub offer two distinct dining environments. Downstairs the BrewPub offers a casual, comfortable eating environment with a variety of foods prepared from "scratch". The menu changes frequently and can be viewed on our website. Upstairs at The Oven above the Pub, the menu features items prepared in a Forno Bravo brick oven located within the dining area. Customers my order then watch their food being prepared. The menu items include appetizers, flatbreads, salads, and iron skillet entrees. Both areas can prepare food for individuals with dietary preferences. All tap beers are brewed in our own brewery and available both upstairs and downstairs. Flagship brews include Honey Blonde, Tiger's Eye, Hop Heart IPA and Loch Ness Scotch Ale. Six additional brews assure that anyone should be able to find a quaffable libation. An elevator serves all levels of the building for those requiring assistance.
