This is a great place for the sport's enthusiast. There is sports memorablia everywhere including the ceiling! The menu has all the usual items with reasonable prices. They also have daily specials and since I was in Wisconsin I had the 2 brat lunch special that was to be serve with assorted mustards. My only complaint is that the assorted... More

Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a wonderful bowl of soup and some ice cold tap beer. Bartender treated us like we were one of the gang. Everyone in the bar was enjoying themselves. Potato wedges were perfect and plentiful. And the free popcorn was a nice side munchie. Relaxing atmosphere filled with baseball sports "Stuff" that would blow the... More

I know I have written several reviews about Rookie's, but this is a must stop place. Never had a bad meal here and the kitchen is always coming up with new items. Had the Beef Wrap on this visit and it was just awesome. Great sandwich with regular fries and the best au ju you will find. Remember, this is... More

Any return to Wisconsin requires a visit, or two, to Rookies. The food is delicious, staff are wonderful and if you enjoy sports memorabilia you will be amazed. My only complaint is that while the Men's room is wall to wall baseball cards, the Ladies' room has family photos and local sports photos. To me that is of little interest,... More

Aside from the better then average food. This place has more sports memorabilia handing on every wall then you've seen in your lifetime. Even on the ceilings! To boot...there's a real wiffleball stadium in the back yard. What a great place to bring a family. Not much else in Mazo to see so this is a great place to stop... More

Visited there yesterday with a college baseball team and found it to be a diamond in the rough! Hey there, we're always thrilled to open our doors to fellow sports fans! The Wiffle ball field is our pride and joy, especially since it's always a good space to just get a little competitive before or after lunch. Thanks for visiting, and we can't wait to welcome you guys back in again soon. Sincerely, Rookies More

Rookies Food & Spirits is the perfect place for the whole family. In addition to the bar and dining areas, Rookies features an authentic Wiffle ball field with an attached clubhouse that’s fantastic for birthdays, reunions, graduation parties, and other events.

If you’re a sports fan, you won’t find a better place to watch all the games, local and national. We’re stocked with 29 TV screens; there’s not a bad seat in the house. Over 6,000 baseball cards cover the walls of the men’s room, and autographed memorabilia covers nearly every other square inch of the restaurant and bar, floor to ceiling. Owner Steve Schmitt, also owner of The Shoe Box and the Madison Mallards baseball team, has filled Rookies with his passion for sports in the form of the best collection of sports memorabilia this side of Cooperstown. Much of the memorabilia was donated and autographed by Steve’s personal friends. You won’t believe the collection until you see it.

Whether you’re a sports fan, passionate about top-quality down-home American cooking, or just in the mood to have a drink with the friendliest staff in Wisconsin, Rookies has what you’re looking for. Stop by the best sports shrine in the area for a hot meal and a cold beer.
