Me and my family had lunch here today, luckily it was a lovely sunny day so we had the pleasure of sitting outside in their beautiful little garden in the back! The Cypriot food is outstanding!! My dad asked for a mixed meat Meze plate...for himself and my son, which was not on the menu. This wasn’t a problem at all! The staff were all so friendly and lovely. We will definitely be back, this is a gem I’m glad we found :)More

Celebrated our forty fourth anniversary at the Horseshoes. Couldn't have been happier. This venue has been improving steadily over the last few years. The prawn starter was delicious, and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The half chicken which my wife chose, was really...succulent (if anything it was a bit too much, but no matter: I helped her eat it ;-). The wine list now contains a very interesting selection of Greek wines. I chose a mid-range bottle (£26) which was absolutely lovely. Service was friendly and attentive, so all in all - roll on the next forty four years!More

We’ve been to this venue a couple of times recently and the food is great! Cooked perfectly, tastes fresh and is a reasonable price. Would recommend!

We had an evening meal here recently and were very impressed. My vegetarian wife had the Meze for two as her main, rather than the share for two starter, and I had the Sheftalia which came with a perfect Greek salad. It had just the...right mix of ingredients to balance the flavours. We washed it down with a bottle of their very nice Greek red wine. My wife was very impressed with the selection within the Meze, but the waitress was sworn to secrecy as to the special ingredients in the aubergine despite our repeated requests for her to spill the beans. After service, the chef/owner came into the dining room and asked all the tables how they had enjoyed their meals, which I think is the sign of a good restaurant, as it is a good opportunity for feedback on the quality of service. When he arrived at our table I greeted him in Greek as I speak a little. He was so impressed that he produced a quarter bottle of Cypriot Grappa and four glasses. That was a glass each for us, one for him and one for the waitress who had served us. I think this is the kind of thing that shows excellent customer service and care for his staff, too. We have strongly recommended this place to friends and relatives who live in the area and we will eat there again the next time we are in the Cambridge area. Very highly recommended.More

Been a couple of times in the last weeks. Once for a "normal" meal, and once for the Seafood Special night. Both times the food was really good, wine was really good, service was really good. We sat inside, (in a dedicated restaurant area separate...from the main bar - where they make a reasonable attempt to maintain social distancing). There are also lots of tables outside. Definitely worth a visit.More

I've never had a bad meal at the Horseshoes - I went again last week and had calamari and then the roast chicken with lemon and oregano. It sounds simple - it's just roast chicken, but it tastes delicious.....what's their secret? I don't know, but...I will be back again to sample more delights. Looking forward to it alreadyMore

Our first 'indoor' meal for quite some time and really enjoyed some excellent food, superb service and great hospitality. Very large veal chop with sautéed potatoes, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and asparagus. Baklava for dessert. There is a very varied Mediterranean menu and an excellent range...of beers. Happy to recommend The Horseshoes but strongly advise that you book a table as it is very popular; and deservedly so! The Horseshoes really hasMore

I've eaten several times in the Three Horseshoes - inside in the good old days, and takeaway during the pandemic. Tonight's swordfish was the best meal I've had (and they were all good). Cooked to perfection, and all the other bits and pieces were just...great. Well done the Horsey Team! Keep up the good work, and thank you.More
