We ate here one night because we did not want to drive the 50 miles to Cody again for dinner. Maybe we should have. I had the trout which, honestly, was not that bad. We really enjoyed our 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at Pahaska. The space is welcoming. On our way to breakfast there was a bison having his breakfast on the front lawn! Also watched a squirrel drop a couple dozen pine cones on the ground. It is Buffalo Bill's old lodge.

This to the last stop before entering the east entrance to Yellowstone Park and a must stop to experience the best omelet in the world. The are chuck full of Ingredients and it almost seems like the eggs are secondary doing nothing more than holding the heaping pile together. The lodge was built by Bill Cody and oozes with history.

What a nice staff! Good food too. It was late, the NE entrance road had been closed so I had to go out the eastern entrance towards Cody. We had a party of eight including four children. The kids menu actually had a couple of items that usually aren't available like pasta Alfredo. I ordered the pasta Alfredo with grilled chicken. This restaurant was very quiet when we entered for dinner and this always sets off warning bells. We needn't have worried. This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park. It's very close to the east entrance of the park. Staff is friendly and accommodating. George the Bartender is the best! We stopped just to grab a bite before entering Yellowstone, but we were so lucky we did. We watched the moon rise over the peaks and ate amazing Buffalo burgers. Dining room has lots of western ambiance, great service and beautiful scenery. Sits just outside of the east entrance to Yellowstone Park. Buffalo burgers are great and so are the nachos. Have eaten there now three times in the last three weeks. Well worth it.
