We did not know the place served the quality of food found there by accident. We went for a hula show/practice and hit the grindz. We will be back but don't tell anyone! Surprising joy!!

We were staying at a house in Captain Cook and a local recommended this place. It’s located right off the side of the road on Mamalaoa highway, about 2 miles south of downtown Captain Cook. The best reason to go to this place is because it’s a very local place with a very laid back feel. A couple nights a... More

This hole-in-the wall place is frequented by locals and snowbirders. It's nothing fancy, but the service is friendly and the food is great. There's quite a range of options, so you never know what you'll find. Their menu has standard Hawaiian plate lunch fare (like slow-cooked pork with mac salad and rice). When someone has caught some fresh fish, their... More

We had a nice meal down at Guys Grinds on the Friday night, the band was amazing and added a lovely vibe while dining outside. - Try the Banana Split! Yum

We stopped on a Friday night and enjoyed the live band. The food was nothing really special, but it was okay for a roadside stand. Drinks were available for purchase at the store next door (part of the same building).

I ordered food to go when I got there it was not ready then it was cold and there was a cockroach in my meal. Go at your own risk. When I complained Guy the owner went off on me, it was scary, I think he needs the health department and a attitude adjustment.

Guys grinds is located next to Ege Store in Honaunau. You place your order at the window and they deliver it to you in the patio or you can take it with you. The patio has a very nice ocean view. Guy and Dave cook up great breakfasts and lunches with daily specials. We love their steak and eggs and... More
