Great little cafe with local feel. We had a loco moco and the 'hogzilla' burrito both of which had fabulous roast pork. They do something amazing with their macadamia nut pie, such a rich treat. Service is no-frills, food is fab.

I went for the Loco Moco with crispy roast pork and breath-taking house gravy. My DW had the special of the day, the Kalua (did I get that right?) smoky BBQ pulled pork. All we needed was a cold beer (didn't have one, boo hoo). The catch of the day was the cole slaw. Bright and tangy, and we're going... More

Great little place. They claim to be the southernmost restaurant in the US. Food quality is outstanding. Service is very good but in an island time pace. Nice home made deserts. Nothing fancy here.

Their PIES are to DIE for! We had the lunch special and it was good-definitely home cooking! No cocktails but you can bring your own!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner... they have it all. I recently had their Cuban Sandwich special (on Tuesdays), and was blown away! Patti makes her own pickles for the sandwich, and it makes all the difference in the world. I have never had a bad meal here, and they have the BEST baked goods anywhere on the Island (sorry Punalu'u bakery). Everything... More

We stopped for lunch on our way to South Point so this seemed an appropriate stop being the most southerly restaurant in the USA. Salads were fresh and the food tasty, delivered in appropriate time frame. Service was somewhat abrupt but efficient.

We stopped on our way to Volcano National Park. Food was amazing. Cute little place, also selling the copper artwork on the walls. Highly recommend the lilikoi lemonade. They refilled for free and it was delicious. We had the turkey club and the grilled cheese. They were both very good and very filling. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert.... More

We happened upon Hana Hou Restaurant and Bakery off Highway 11 on the Big Island and what a fantastic find it was. We enjoyed a terrific burger, a Hawaiian pork burrito and what they call The Outrageous Cheese Sandwich. All were equally delicious and full of ingredients. We ended the lunch with Macadamia nut cream pie and coconut cream pie... More
