We stopped here for lunch on our way from Kona to Volcano National Park, where the two-lane road doesn't offer many dining options. (Note: The restaurant doesn't face the main road, so you've got to watch for the intersection and turn onto the side street.) It's a modest café with a surprisingly wide-ranging menu--sandwiches, salads, and burgers, as well as... More

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Hilo. Delicious! Try the Liliko'i lemonade and any dish that comes with the fried rice.

They had some good selections and even better prices. I had a pork dish and my wife had the daily special of an enchilada. Both were very good with a few sides. The service was very fast too. I would go back if I was ever on that side of the island.

We stopped here based on reviews, including a guide book, but left extremely disappointed. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a burger. The fish and chips were tasteless and fairly greasy - my husband's burger had a hair in it which he didn't realize until after he swallowed most of it. It's sad because it smelled... More

This is the southern most restaurant in the United States. The food is so good and mostly home cooked. The spot is quaint and clean. Prices are great!

This place has pretty decent food. My Reuben sandwich was quite tasty. However, my wife's Loco Moco was just average. The gravy just wasn't super tasty, and it's the most important part of a Loco Moco. This restaurant bills itself as the southernmost restaurant in the United States, which is pretty cool. Service is a bit slow, but that's pretty... More

From Kona, we drove across the Island to Hilo, then down to the Volcano National Park. After the park, we took the southern route home and found this little restaurant. I ordered a hamburger and it was delicious and handmade. Everyone else enjoyed their lunch, too. We did not stay for pie, because we wanted to try the "southernmost bakery"... More

We were driving from Volcano's National Park back to Kona and I made the mistake of going the southern route. WOW was it long. We were desperately trying to find anything open to get something to eat. We finally came upon this restaurant. They had some local style dishes and quite a few American style options. Not much of it... More

While they have delicious food with an authentic Hawaiian experience, really the reason you'll make at least one return visit is the pies. Key lime cream pie, and the roasted macadamia nut cream pie - I mean, wow. And also coconut cream. Okay three trips. Confessions.

In the past this was a decent restaurant with fresh fish. I ordered mahi-mahi which turned out to be frozen, probably Costco.. for the price I expect fresh fish. At one point they had fresh fish so hopefully they get it again.. this area is too close to the ocean to be serving frozen fish.
