We made reservations for 7:30 PM. When we arrived around 7:10 PM we were told they didn't have our reservations. We waited a few feet from the door and at 7:35 pm we moved right in front of the entrance. The hostess approached us to ask our names. When we told her, she replied "I've been calling you for 10... In fairness, it was only their second day in their new location, so I guess there was a lot of demand. It was totally packed for lunch and the staff was overwhelmed. I think it was our waitress's first day of work. But it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. I had the sesame chicken... More

when asked about my favorite eatery in the Hilo, Hawaii area it is always Moyo's that tops the list. The food, atmosphere and service are waonderful. The restaurant is in the process of relocating (and may have already) so I will visit soon to see if anything has been lost or gained!

this place was hard to find at night. but they are moving to a strip mall so it will be easier to find. they had a guitar player there when we were there. we had really good japanese food there. they don't have a liquor license so bring your own bottle.

Miyo's Japanese food is traditional, but with a touch of Hilo. Fresh salads and well prepared entrees. My favorites are sesame chicken salad and a sashimi/tempura combo.

A great gathering spot next to Wailoa Lagoon with a view of the park in one direction, ocean straight out and Mauna Kea in the other direction. The complex in which this restaurant has been located for decades is going through some financial upheavals and Miyo's may move. We'll just have to see how things shake out in the next... More

Lunch was very good. We had one of their special combination lunches, sashimi and tempura. The sashimi was tuna, fresh and very good. The tempura was cooked right. The meal was very good local fare from Japan. The building could use an update.

I come to hawaii almost every month from japan for businesse. Mayu's is the best japanese restaurant. most japanease restaurants are not real japanese restaurant, just like japaneserestaurant. but it was real one when I bit tempura. you can enjoy real japanese food in hawaii. even for japanease people.

Moderate fare for this dining place. Open for dinner but get there early as it is most popular by locals. Order the special as it is the best for lowest cost.
