This place offered the best service in Big Island. The waitress automatically brought us a high chair and a booster chair for our 2 year old right after we walked in. The coffee is refilled for free. The food comes in huge portion. Our Hawaiian French toast tastes really good, so was the Portuguese sausage that came with it. My... More

A small, quirky cafe with amazing food & lots of local color! There might be a small wait time, but it is so worth your while! Delicious home-cooked food in HUGE portions! My daughter's pancake was bigger than I could have eaten! I had the Loco Moco & it was delicious!

I've been eating here for years and this time...my family..children plus..a large group but our wait was about 20 minutes..grandchildren's first visit. Menu is extensive with a long list of daily specials. I eat there at least once whenever I'm on the Island of Hawaii.

THE place for a BIG breakfast/lunch (won't need both). Delicious local specialties, entertaining (singing) cooks who seem to be having a great time. The pancakes are really something else -- one fills the entire big plate, but incredibly fluffy and light and tasty!! Food portions are very generous overall. This is a cash-only business, but the crowds have increased as... More

A must visit in the big island. Portions are huge. Definitely get the kalua pork hash with fried rice which is a house speciality. We also ordered a macadamia nut pancake which comes with whipped cream and a heaping scoop of butter (my wife thought it was ice cream ). If you are going to be traveling to Kauai go... More

When you pull up on a rainy morning and see 10 people standing outside, you know this must be the place. Once inside, great "funky" atmosphere with lots of kama'ainas and fun-loving, very busy cooks. And HUGE portions. Don't even think you are going to finish the pancakes. Cash only.

We went to this place for breakfast - and were completely delighted! It was very busy and full of locals - so get there early or be ready to wait. There's a lot of different choices on the menu so there should be something for everyone. Really enjoyed our food, and would love to return.
